Initially we planned to go to Turkey in early September, but it so happened that in August, after looking at the full price for a booked trip for our family (my wife and I and two sons, 14 and 18 years old), I realized that the offer price was beyond the budget. I had to quickly look for a replacement. Requirements: all-inclusive, private beach and reasonable price. The decision was made by my wife, so I found out that we were flying to Erie Beach after the fact. I’ll make a reservation that 10 years ago we were already there, but at the very end of the season (end of October), accordingly, some of the services were no longer available. However, the review will sometimes include comparisons between then and now. Realizing that a lot could have changed in 10 years, I began to read reviews. At first it seemed like “boss, everything is gone, the plaster is being removed, the client is leaving.” However, upon arrival everything turned out to be not so bad. So, the Erie Beach & Village hotel is a sample September 2023. However, keep in mind that we are very unpretentious both in everyday life and in food. The size of the territory has increased (it seems that a neighboring hotel was purchased). There is quite a lot of entertainment on the territory - 2 mini water parks (one was installed in April 2023), several bars (I found 4, but perhaps more), 4 or 5 swimming pools - simple, with slides (2 pieces), for kids, etc. etc., every day there is an animation program (but we weren’t there, so I can’t say), and a show in the evening. The food is not bad. Every meal, at least 3 types of meat (and next to the dish there was a sign indicating what kind of meat - this is important for us because one of them cannot digest lamb), fish, seafood every 2 days. Side dish - pasta, rice, potatoes in different types. Vegetables, fruits, sweets, cheese and something else (we couldn’t try everything). In principle, the desire to go to restaurants in the neighborhood never arose. Of course, there was self-service, because you need to understand that it will not be possible to feed 1500+ people with the help of waiters and “whatever you want”, or it will cost completely different money. The only thing I didn’t like was that the dishes were washed so-so (but having a dishwasher at home, sometimes I get dishes that aren’t perfectly washed). The room was two-room and with 2 bathrooms; if necessary, closing the door between the rooms we get 2 separate rooms with all amenities. It’s clear that for +/- 500 euros per week with flights and all-inclusive, there will be no marble and gold. Let's just say the renovation is a C grade, and if when painting the room they used tape so that the paint of the walls and ceiling would have a clear boundary, and during the renovation they removed the no longer used boxes from the old air conditioner, then I would confidently give it a 4. Since the hotel is located on the 1st line, it has its own beach. A children's splash pool, a separate pier from the sea and an adult swimming pool. Both here and there were sand, not stones (before there was no sand), but the adult swimsuit was not very big, so sometimes there were too many people. True, there are 3 more bays nearby where you can swim. Next to the hotel is the main shopping street, with shops, car/motorcycle/quad rentals, travel agencies offering travel and entertainment both in Crete and on
