Das Hotel hat eine super Lage mit einem tollen Ausblick. Das Personal ist hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Zimmer, wir hatten Nr. 35 , waren 1995 auf jeden Fall modern. Für die heutige Zeit leider total unmodern. Es gibt eine Badewanne mit Dusche die sehr eng war. Zudem war der Duschkopf sehr klein mit einem Peelingstrahl. Ablagen für Badeartikel gab es leider nicht. Die Zimmer waren leider lieblos eingerichtet, so ein richtiges Wohlgefühl wollte nicht aufkommen.Da das Restaurant über uns lag, war es abends meist sehr laut. Nicht nur durch die Gäste sondern auch durch die Musikabende und scharrenden Stühle und Tische. Dies ging bis teilweise nach 24 Uhr. Auch zu hören bei geschlossener Tür durch die Decke. Die Poolanlage ist nett angelegt. Das Frühstück sehr einseitig, jeden Tag das gleiche. Man gewinnt den Eindruck, dass hier am falschen Ende gespart wird. Trotz alledem ein schöner Urlaub. Wiederkommen leider nicht.

We stayed here for 1 week and from start to finish I can't fault the hotel and its staff. We stayed in a superior room which was very modern and overlooked the pool, no noise issues as the bar was quiet by 10/11 pm. The waiting staff at breakfast were awesome 👌 as was the choice of food on offer, the coffee was great quality. We ate at the restaurant Olivia the night they had traditional cretan music and dancing and it was superb , 4 courses for €25 euro and the food was very nice. We will be back.

We had a lovely 4 weeks at the Asterias village in an apartment with sea view. We visited this complex a few years ago and to me the pool area has been spoilt. The apartment was cleaned daily and sheets changed every 2 days but to me not 5*. We like to eat in to take a break from the lovely restaurant food and we found the apartment kitchen short of utilities ie small pan bread knife and for 5* no microwave, reading replies to some reviews that said “just ask” and you be supplied but it’s 5* and should be in the kitchen.

What a great hotel. It is not for people with mobility issues though as it's 60 steps down from the road. The accommodation is great. I stayed in a massionette which was spotless. It had a small kitchen area and a bedroom upstairs. Bags were taken care of by the staff and they were in the room before I'd finished checking in. I was half board so ate at the taverna upstairs. The food and service was great. The pool area was spotless but the steps in were very slippery. The free bus into the town was a great addition. I loved going in an afternoon for a couple of cocktails at the beach. The two villages next to the hotel were lovely too. I would recommend the local gyros takeaway. €5 for fresh made gyros!! I will definitely return.

Nice hotel. Beware of the many steps down to the pool, bar and reception. Not for the faint hearted. Tourist tax is €7 per night per room. Pool is extremely slippey, sever people reported it. I wouldn't actually consider this as 4 ****, although very nice.

The hotel is on the edge of the small town, ideally placed for restaurants and shops without being too noisy in the evenings. The main town is approx 15 min walk downhill, remembering you have to return uphill, so not suitable for those with mobility issues. There are a huge number of steps from the road down to the pool area Our apartment was large with a generous balcony, basic cooking facilities avaliable with a standard size fridge, with everything needed if you were to self cater Clean and comfortable beds, a great nights sleep with huge choice at the breakfast buffet The hotel was spotlessly clean, both in the rooms and communual areas Good selection of books on the book swap shelves in reception Whilst we booked and paid for half board, we ate out in the evenings. Breakfast was very good, the evening meal was ok but not great. Next time I will book bed and breakfast Staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. A special shout out to the staff at the pool/breakfast bar who were exceptional. Will definitely visit again

This is our second time in Koutouloufari, last year we stayed at a different hotel supposedly the same standard as Asteria Village but Asteria was far far better, it definitely warrants its 4 stars. The staff are dressed lovely in their uniforms and can't help you enough. The breakfast had something for everyone, we couldn't fault it. We had a Studio, which had ample room, the only thing I missed was a patio door for the daylight as it only had 1 window so quite dark when door closed. Really strong shower but only a shower curtain so you couldn't use it to it's full potential otherwise the curtain would blow out and the floor would get soaked, but we got round that by not putting it fully on. The sunbeds were quality and plenty of them as well as ordinary ones. It even has its own little church on site, named after the owner George. If we come back we will definitely stay here. We love Greece and this is one of the nicest places we have stayed. This place is no good if you struggle to walk as no lift and 60 steps to the street or a long steep slope.

11 jours en mai , sans trop de foule. Situation idéale , à l’écart de la foule sans être isolé. Pleins de petits restaurants aux alentours, dont certains avec une cuisine familiale ( je conseille David Vegera) Le personnel et l’accueil sont aux petits soins, le ménage fait chaque jour. L’appartement une chambre est idéal pour 2, tout équipé ( machine expresso/bouilloire…) avec balcon vue mer. 2 clims dans l’appartement. Piscine et transats très propres, mais vu le nombre, on sent que ça peut vite se tendre en saison. Un kit cuisine ( sel, huile, éponge, liquide lave vaisselle) serait un plus malgré la supérette juste en face. La salle de bain gagnerait à être rénovée, bien que très propre.
