Where do I begin. There is absolutely no doubting that this is a beautiful hotel. It’s been updated to a very high level and on arrival you will be blown away. Staff will whisk your suitcases away and usher you into a super cool and large reception area. Guest manager will greet you and advise you to take a seat whilst they get you a cold drink. After a swift check in, armed with a piece of paper with some very basic information, you will be escorted to your room. Our room 1105 was a private pool with sea view. First issue, strange empty space at the end of the room with just a coffee table, no chair or sofa as per pictures… room warm so AC put on, doesn’t really get any cooler…. Oh and quite a number of Ants… call to reception, maid arrives and sprays Ants… leaves us the can…. (Good job). After a couple of emails a sofa turned up, we went out to buy fans as AC didn’t improve although explanations didn’t make sense… only cools to 19… yet reads 17.5/18? No real idea of lay out of hotel nor what’s on offer, get used to that, they certainly lack information. We are all inclusive which should be changed to, you can have what we say and you will pay if you want anything else. Avoid the A La carte, you don’t get menu until you sit and there are 2 starter, 2 main and one desert… and quite frankly the main restaurant is better. Food was good, they know how to cook meat. Breakfast tho was poor and cold. Only bar is outside, which is fine. Not sure what you would do if it was to rain. Over zealous bar maid took a liking to my OH… possibly a bit inappropriate! Bar staff, George, Popi etc all lovely and some of the restaurant staff lovely too. Would we return, no. It’s a very confused hotel. Bit out of the way, no shop on site, too many hiccups for us given the price we paid. Full of Instagram loving kids or confused middle aged people who expected more. Doesn’t need much to make it great and worth the money but the manager is too busy schmoozing his pals to care.
