Royal & Imperial Belvedere Resort

We absolutely love Crete we even got married here in 2018! I would recommend the Royal and Imperial Belvedere to anyone but especially families with children. So much to do, amazing facilities and amazing staff! We are returning for a family holiday for a big upcoming birthday at the end of May 2024 and we can't wait! Le-Grand Family!

Such a beautiful hotel, pools are very clean and I didn't struggle to ever get a sunbed. Lunch was yummy, and lots of choice for dinner. Entertainment team was amazing and just kept going. There was one show which I would question which was the comedy show, it was a little bit strange. Also the animals on the road need to have more space, they were in tiny little cages.

Myself and my mum and daughter went for a holiday as it was a year exactly that my father had died so we needed a positive holiday experience, to try and create good memories, for the future as my dad would have wanted us to as greace was one of his favourite holiday locations, and we certainly did all the staff went above and beyond for us costas the manager was absolutely amazing so looking forward to going back on the 7th of May this year 2024 see you all soon the Arcari family xxx

We stayed here in September and we we’re surprised by how clean and big the hotel is. Our room was excellent for a small family, we had lots of space and a spare room for our little girl too. Enough room to fit two cots as well. The hotel was really clean, the food had a big selection and the buffet was great. We did go out for dinner at Theodore garden one evening at the bottom of the road, highly recommended. During the day they had endless supply of gyros and ice cream too. There was a main pool and a kids pool, and the rooftop pool was also very nice to go for an afternoon drink. We use the spa facilities too and had a nice massage, it was excellent. And the beach is in walking distance with a beach bars along the beach too. This was a great location for our first holiday with young children. We also tried the a la carte restaurants they were lovely but didn’t have a set menu for kids. Staff were excellent and very friendly too, thank you for a lovely stay

Arrived early hours after a day and half delay in late august. Staff were really helpful and got us checked in fast and called a driver to get us to our rooms. This is a large resort but after finding your bearings, you really weren’t far from anywhere but there are quite a few steps and you will do some walking. Plenty of choice of restaurants and places to get snacks and drinks. Food was nice a huge selection that was changed frequently so not too samey. We were all inclusive and could use the restaurant at lunch time or snack bars. Pools weren’t too busy and there’s a pool for everyone whether it be just chilling by the pool or swimming to using the toddler area and there are plenty of sun beds. All pool areas kept clean. Rooms were roomy and clean. And we had a garden view which was nice and gave us a little outside area. Our room had 4 of us, a teen, a 10 year old and two adults. There were two bathroom areas which was great as we had two separate toilets so that helped to keep fighting over use of bathroom to a minimum. The other two apartments had sea views and were set a little further back than ours. There were 9 of us ranging from 3 to 53 in the 3 rooms dotted about the resort. We loved the little chapel there. Our 3 year old granddaughter loved the little animal area too on the hill. Night entertainment was good and didn’t go on too late. Plenty of bars too serving a wide selection of drinks, Resort was close to a little village to explore and a short walk to Star Beach area and many shops and restaurants. At the bottom of the hill there is a bus stop that will take you into Heraklion one direction or Malia/agios nikolaos in the other direction. We used this service and couldn’t believe how reasonable it was. At the hotel you can also book some day trips and activities that will pick you up from the resort. Honestly really enjoyed our time here and would definitely return.

We just got back from Crete. The Royal Belvedere Resort offers various pools, dining and recreation options for couples and families. We really went for the Olympic 50 meter swimming pool. We swim laps and this was a challenge as our regular pool is 25 meters. Also we went a little off season. Food was good and plenty of it. We also took a taxi to the Old Hersonissos village and walked back. My wife had a great time shopping by the beach area shops. We will go back.
