I will start with the good… the staff were lovely, the room was clean (although small), free onsite parking. The location was beautiful. The breakfast buffet looked amazing. The bad. The balcony was filthy, covered in cobwebs, bird poop, and half the remnants falling off an over hanging tree. What is the point in having a lovely location you couldn’t enjoy the balcony. It did not look like it had been cleaned in over a year! There was a wedding on that evening (all the best to the happy couple) however this meant that all the other PAYING GUESTS, could not have any access to a bar in the evening. We had to put up with cans from a vending machine. Breakfast was a buffet style help yourself, and although looked lovely the cooked breakfast was cold. We took a walk around the beautiful grounds after breakfast which were largely overgrown except for the cut parts of a dated gold course. Around the edges had exercise machines, lovely idea to exercise in the open air. Unfortunately these were also so dirty they actually looked like they were antiques left there to rot. Has so much potential but not enough upkeep to warrant the cost I am afraid

Had food at dinner time, possibly the worst I have ever had at a hotel. The chicken was tougher than an extra well done steak, broccoli barely cooked, awful. Staff are friendly and accommodating, rooms are reasonable but they really do need to review what they are doing food wise

Stayed with my husband and another couple. Had drinks on terrace after check in so relaxing. We had rooms next to each other ground floor with terrace. Clean compact room air conditioning small but adequate bathroom. Full size snooker table the guys loved it. Bat only open till 8pm though. Excellent breakfast wonderful sausages also bacon eggs mushrooms beans tomatoes hash browns. Staff efficient and friendly especially the duty manager who doubled up as barman. Great value hotel we had a lovely stay

Stayed here the weekend just gone for the Rewind festival….. Super impressed with value for money, the front desk were super friendly & helpful, great breakfast everything was very well cooked & decent selection. Throughout the hotel was spotlessly clean. The one thing that grabbed me, everybody working there you could see, took pride in their work & enjoyed being there. Normally my price point is 2-3 times more expensive, I couldn’t believe how fab my experience was. The rooms only need a soap dispenser by the sink if they want to be greener. Rather than having to ask for soap, can’t wait to go back.

We had booked 5 rooms as we were attend a charity cricket match down in Wormsley. We arrived early to be greeted by a number of friendly staff. We were all told that the rooms were ready. Compact rooms, comfortable bed and great shower. Aircon worked very well. After a comfortable night's sleep the buffet breakfast was well needed. Big selection of cereal and juices. And a full english that hit the spot. For the price this was an amazing stay.

Stayed one night for a work event at the centre. The room had everything I needed, including an ironing board, a desk and good hangers and shelves. It’s fairly basic but comfortable, the pillows were good, it was nice to have a little balcony and the shower was powerful. Ideal for a solo business traveller and a great location for a corporate event.

Stayed here on a Friday evening. Room was basic and double bed was smaller than I am used to with my wife but comfortable enough, air con worked really well good tea and coffee facilities for the both of us and bathroom was ok. Breakfast was really good and the restaurant manager was very cheerful and helpful and the lady serving the hot food was very pleasant and polite too. Check in and out was easy and receptionists were very polite. My only complaint with this hotel was how early the bar closed. We went for an early dinner at the grouse and Ale (def recommend) with the intention of going back to the hotel for a few drinks, when we went to the bar at approx 8:30 we were told by 2 other residents that the bar staff closed it as there wasn’t enough people to use it. 4 of us were in there until 10:30 playing pool together and at least 2 other couples came in for drinks too with the same idea as us. This was really disappointing. I would return if the facilities were actually open and able to be used.

Stayed here for 5 nights as part of a work trip. Fantastic place, the food was to a very high standard. 3 meals a day with a big variety each day. The rooms are very nice. On the small side but as you would expect for a conference centre. However the room walls are extremely thin and next doors tv was clearly mounted to the wall my head is against. The staff are all incredibly friendly and cater to your specific needs if requested. The facilities are very good including a nice gym and bar.
