"We often stay in Premier Inns particularly when needing an airport hotel or visiting friends and family and just want somewhere to sleep. This was the first time we had stayed in the High Wycombe (Loudwater) hotel but we knew it from when we used to live nearby. The hotel is one of their older properties with newer extensions and has free on-site parking which is a plus. However it does get busy so spaces are sometimes at a premium. The location is great as it is off the A40 near junction 3 of the M40, yet it is reasonably quiet. The rooms are a good size and there is a lift . As it is an older hotel there is no air conditioning but they did provide a fan. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the room and replacement supplies are found in reception. You can also get free bottled water on request . The beds are comfortable however on this occasion due to the warm weather, we found the duvet too warm. We had an accessible room for this visit and it was fine. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, but it was a low bath so reasonably easy to get in and out. We only had breakfast one morning as we were eating out or at friends. Breakfast wasn’t great. However if you are there with a family it is probably fine. There are a range of restaurants in the area, some of which you can walk to."

"Avoid room 106 - If you get allocated this family room, we highly recommend you ask to change rooms or refuse staying in there entirely. The smell of damp and the inability to open a window to let in any fresh air makes the entire stay uncomfortable. Also the rooms are noisy. The door shook every time the guests on the floor above moved around. Plus we had kids running up and down the corridor but that was the least of our issues. There is nearby parking however its around £10 a night. Make sure you park in the right bit too otherwise you'll get a fine. It's right next to McDonalds and Sainsburys which is great and you can walk right into the town centre. Dinner and breakfast was exactly what you'd expect at Premier Inn, except our starter and main course was a little over cooked causing charcoaled bits on our hunters chicken."

"I stayed at Holiday Inn High Wycombe on 19th February, and unfortunately, my experience started on a disappointing note. Upon arrival, I was greeted politely and checked in by the receptionist, who allocated me a ground floor room. However, when I entered the room, I immediately noticed a strong smell of smoke, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwilling to stay there. It was clear the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or aired. I contacted reception, and to their credit, the staff member came to inspect the room herself. She acknowledged the issue, apologised sincerely, and admitted it should have been resolved by housekeeping. Unfortunately, I was told the hotel was fully booked and no alternative rooms were available. I was offered a 30% discount to stay in the room, but I declined as I did not feel comfortable. The receptionist then arranged an alternative solution by relocating me to Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe, including organising a taxi transfer. Although there was some confusion about room availability at the Hilton, she remained helpful and even offered me a complimentary drink while I waited. Once I arrived at the Hilton, the difference was clear — the room was clean, fresh, and of a much higher standard, which made for a far more comfortable stay. Overall, while I appreciate the professionalism and efforts of the staff at Holiday Inn to resolve the issue, the initial room condition fell well below expectations."
