Hotels Near Peace Pagoda in Hiroshima

A really nice modern hotel with clean and stylish rooms although rather compact. Breakfast had a nice selection of Japanese and Western options. The Riverside cafe was still closed following Covid however the hotel is a short walk to Hiroshima Train Station which has a wonderful food hall and there's a Family Mart down the street. Shukkeien Gardens is close by and worth a visit. Service and staff great. Will definitely stay here again.

The subway to hotel is convenient but no lift is a drawback. The hotel room is small but clean. The self laundry service is also user friendly (washing powder or detergent comes with the services). It’s a good option for short stay.

There are Hiroshima Okonomiyaki restaurants near the hotel, and the Atomic Bomb Dome area is less than a 20-minute walk away, and the tram station is also nearby, making it great for walking around town. The hostel is modern and has all the required amenities of kitchen, laundry and friendly staff. My private room with ensuite/bathroom was quite a lot larger than I expected (compared to Japanese standards), with a queen bed and small counter area with seat. The location was fairly central with walking distance to the Museum, Park and castle areas. Plus close to restaurants. Highly recommend WeBase for anyone staying in Hiroshima.

The Hilton Hiroshima is a brand new hotel and we really enjoyed the design, spaciousness, and the breakfast. The lobby is beautiful and welcoming, and has all the facilities of a 5 star hotel. The staffs speak fluent English so there no problem in communication. We had a spacious room with king bed, with also plenty of space for a round table. The bathroom was also very big and beautifully designed. The best part of our stay was definitely breakfast, and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying at this hotel. It was a luxury buffet breakfast with over 100 choices of food in Japanese and international styles, including hot food such as udon and soba which were cooked per your request. Parking at the hotel costs 2500 yen per night for guests staying at the hotel. There may be cheaper options nearby as there are a lot of parking in Hiroshima.

Facilities I rated as 3 because: What was available was very good. Resturant was not operating for dinner. Bar was open for a very limited time. I think this might be a hang over from Covid and trouble getting staff like everywhere.
