The hotel is new and big. Although the area around the hotel is very quiet, it is only a few minutes drive to a nearby restaurant. If you want to go to Fuyu, it is recommended to pay attention to the opening hours of the stores because there will be holidays and many stores will not be open.

A hot spring inn in Chikugogawa Onsen. It is a large hotel with a banquet hall. I stayed for one night on a weekday with a business plan with breakfast only. Prices are reasonable. The room was a twin Western-style room. It says pets are allowed, but there was no pet smell. However, I could hear dogs barking from other rooms. The hot spring at this ryokan is a thick, alkaline sulfur spring. The hot springs are licensed for drinking, so you can drink the hot springs at the hot spring. The free-flowing hot springs are very nice. The open-air bath is also built facing the river, which is nice. Breakfast is served at the venue and the contents are suitable for the price. It is a rather large ryokan, and the facilities are old because the box is large.

A very cost-effective hotel passing by from Mount Aso to Hakata (about an hour and a half by car). Free breakfast is provided. Although it is relatively simple, you can get enough. The hotel’s facilities are relatively outdated, the rooms are very small, and there is no space after opening the 20-inch box, but the location is very good. There is a free parking lot directly opposite the hotel. There is a Jusco and a makeup shop next to it. The front desk service is very good! Can use a little English to communicate, there is a laundry room at the back of the lobby,

I can't go outside the prefecture, so I stayed one night for the convenience of visiting a grave. ”Staff greeted us as usual.” Book your regular room. Cleaning is also perfect. The fun dinner will be at the dining venue on a time system to avoid crowds. Every time I think about the dishes, the skill of the chef who makes me groan, the timing of how to serve the food, etc. It's an impressive meal every time I go. Facing the garden, you can soak in the atmosphere and enjoy dinner even when it's raining or when the stars are out. Aside from the food, the pride of this place is the tatami bath! And while gazing at the sky full of stars... an open-air bath! ! Morning bath is also good. In addition, the breakfast is rich and varied, using plenty of local ingredients. ”I come here several times a year to rest!”

This time, because it was a corona disaster, I searched for it with an indoor bath and hot spring, and decided here with a little inspiration. The surrounding area is lonely, but it feels good again or calms down ... The hall was not too elegant and calm. The atmosphere that makes you want to stay forever. It's really impossible for a long time, but I think it makes you feel like that. I really liked it as a place to relieve daily stress here. Maybe it was the off-season. The time for breakfast and dinner was fixed, but there is no way. I felt like ~ with a lot of money, so next time I dropped the rank of 1 and wanted to stay in the room of 3 night 4 night only for dinner (was there?). I bought breakfast at a convenience store a little far away the day before, and there are some roadside stations a little far away in the daytime, so I wonder if it's okay to have a simple lunch ~. After lunch, go home and have a hot spring. Onsen before dinner. Hot spring before going to bed. Wake up in the morning and hot spring ... Go out a little and shop at the direct sales office of Awashimado.

The minute you walk in, you relinquish your shoes. Everywhere is tatami and so we walk in our socks or indoor shoes, an immediate plus and relaxing moment. Our room was called The Annex. It is apart from the hotel. The Annex is Japanese with tatami and western beds, very comfortable. When we approached the front door, the views off the private garden were gorgeously dramatic mountain cliffs and there are views of other mountains and the stream from the other side of The Annex as well. Spacious and open and extremely comfortable. While many rooms come with a private dining room in the restaurant, the private eating room associated with the Annex also has another private garden with views of the mountains. A small note: All liquids in the frig are complimentary, nice touch! The service was excellent, well trained. The food was delicious even though we have many dietary limits - like no meat, pork, heavy oils. They accommodated our restrictions with delicious, fresh fish and vegetables and fruit. The onsens, even though public access as well, were clean and designed beautifully. We've been to many ryokans this year, mainly in Kyushu since we live here. This onsen had the most beautiful facilities - and the views were drop dead gorgeous. My jaw literally dropped when I saw the view from the onsen with the lounge chairs in the steaming water - and what an amazing onsen that was!!! After much thought, the only downside is the outdoor tub in the Annex, which is really not an onsen since it used chlorinated water and the two of us had to squeeze in. Having said that, we already booked our next stay in the spring and cannot wait to return.

The experience was absolutely amazing.💕The price is very inexpensive for everything that are included in your stay. The breakfast and dinner were delicious there was a lot of food and it was very traditional. As we came for our birthdays the staff gave us presents. The Onsens both interior and outdoors were so relaxing and beautiful.♨️ This staff is so caring, do not hesitate to ask for help if you’re having trouble wearing your Yukata properly. I highly recommend going to this place, you really won’t regret it. By far the best place I stayed at during our one month trip to Japan🇯🇵👍 Thank you so much for receeving uf❤️ Love from France🇫🇷

We found a good deal on the web site, which included discounts for having proof of vaccines, plus coupons totaling ¥8,000. I think the coupons were part of the ”Go To Travel” campaign. These coupons could only be used in Oita prefecture, by the next day. The hotel has a grand, luxurious appearance and feel, but also feels dated. After check-in, we took the shuttle bus to the outside onsen (about 5 minutes away). This was included in the price (I am not sure if it is actually owned by the hotel. There is a fee for people who are not staying at the hotel). This onsen was glorious! All the baths are outside, surrounded by trees and nature. The only caveat is that there were many stairs going down to the onsen. I did not expect that at all, and it was not easy on my knees (no problem for my partner). The other onsen in the hotel (there were two) also involved walking (it is as large hotel), and some stairs too. The floors in the onsen seemed more slippery than I remember any other onsen I have visited before. Dinner was buffet style. Due to COVID restrictions, we had to get our temperature checked, and wear plastic gloves while serving ourselves (there was a box at the table, and a container for disposal of them). The seating was partitioned, and it was very comfortable. Even though it was a buffet, there were 3 choices for seating: 5:00 pm, 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm, with a 90 minute limit. The food was good, but my partner had to stand in line at a station for freshly prepared meat for 30 minutes. Breakfast was served in the same place as dinner. We got a lower-priced deal, and our room was on the 1st floor. The hallway was a little dark compared to the other floors (which we had to access for the front desk/entrance to the hotel and to get to the dining area and the onsen). To me, there was a musty smell that my partner did not notice. The place is older, and it is right next to the river, and it was the middle of Japanese (humid) summer, and I assume not all the rooms are like this. There was a can of roach spray in the closet (which thankful we did not need!), and requests not to open the windows to prevent bugs from getting in the room. The sound and site of the river outside the window was wonderful. The beds (two twin beds) were comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. It was my partner's 50th birthday, so we mentioned this to see if they had any thing special (even for an extra charge). They gave a card and a plastic rose (I think the rose was for the birthday), but said they did not have anything else. The water pot already had hot water in it when we arrived. I appreciate that. They also had the kind of coffee in which you open the single pack, put it over the cup (good size, not tiny like some places) and pour hot water on it (like a one cup drip coffee- not instant). I often travel with these types of coffee packs as a lot of hotels in Kyushu only have instant coffee or none at all in the rooms. The

GGuest UserI used it for my daughter's birthday celebration during Golden Week. First, the food. The dishes for adults (Kaiseki) were very beautiful and visually pleasing. The children's meals were also very luxurious, especially the breakfast pancake set which was a nice surprise. In addition, the bath was a luxurious bath where you could enjoy plenty of hot water flowing directly from the source. There are many types of baths, including open-air baths and indoor baths, and they are open from early in the morning until late at night, so I have bathed in them many times. The open-air bath in the room was also very comfortable, and I was able to relax and spend some luxurious time with my family for the first time in a while. We consulted with them in advance about the surprise cake for her birthday, and on the day of the event, we received heartfelt hospitality that made my daughter very happy. I think this is an inn that you will want to return to again and again. I would definitely like to use it again.

GGuest UserA once in a lifetime honeymoon. In the end, I decided to find a good inn in Japan and stay there, and my first destination was Kyushu. Kayausagi looked at magazines, websites and word of mouth, and thought that it was perfect for us who like old things, so we chose a room in Kakurekura after looking at many photos and used it on the last day. Now that I'm back in Hokkaido, I think it was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I think there are factors and circumstances that can't be helped. Even so, the concept is ”I want you to get away from your busy life and spend your time in a traditional Japanese space as if you were living slowly” and ”enjoy the old life surrounded by good old things”! I was looking forward to it! I paid for it! I regret it. First of all, before the concept, there were many parts about how it would be as a service industry. The friendliness of each staff member may be good. If you say that you feel at home, do you have to agree? But. Thinking about it now, in the first place, I had to pass through the industrial area before arriving at the inn. I feel uneasy. There was no one in the parking lot, and I couldn't find anything that looked like a front desk, so when we got out of the car and wandered around the area while carrying our luggage, a soft-spoken woman approached us, and I didn't even know if she was a staff member. All of a sudden, I carried my carry-on, and an explanation of the indoor and open-air baths began before check-in. It all started with standing still, not knowing where to sit at the counter. From there, they carried our luggage to the hidden warehouse. They explained the inside of the room, but when the staff left and opened the door without explanation, it felt like a test of courage. door). The antiques, which I thought must be old, were arranged differently from the photos, and there was no sense of unity. The decoration of the air conditioner and switches is full of hand-made feeling, and I can't calm down. There were so many rabbits with so many different faces that I felt like I was staying in a treasure house or a museum exhibit, and I couldn't rest at all. Is this what traditional Japanese space looks like? There was no explanation about breakfast, so I called from here. It's a funny story now that I think about it. The signage plan and the arrangement of the lights are also rough and you will get lost. The sight of the staff taking a break outside made me feel uncomfortable. We didn't have dinner, so we went out to eat, but he said he didn't want to go back to the inn. Even so, on the last day, I was tired and had to pay a cancellation fee, so when I went back and took a bath, there was no water. When I soaked in thick hot water and got into the futon, I woke up many times to the noise of the water hitting the roof, whether it was the sound of heavy rain or the sound of the river. I moved to the first floor with a futon. There was no indirect lighting (maybe there was one, but there is no explanation). It's on the tatami mats where there's a lot of centipede. Since the rice was highly rated, I headed to the breakfast venue with at least expectations. A small insect was crawling on the already arranged side dishes. There were some delicious things, but while I was eating, I could hear the announcements of heavy rain warnings and flood warnings (warnings?), and the conversations between the staff, so I couldn't enjoy it slowly. The announcement was unfamiliar to us, and it was right after the news of Atami, so I felt uneasy. There is also a dam in the city,” he replied with a laugh. It may be a daily routine for the staff, but I wonder if there is no word for those of us who feel uneasy. If the anxiety was not conveyed, is it lack of imagination? Are we expecting too much from the service industry? On the last day of the trip, it was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but to be honest, I would have preferred to have stayed at a business hotel in the city to get my money back. Onsen was nice. But then, I didn't want to go again because there are so many others.
