The location is very convenient near Hobart Port. You can reach the port within ten minutes' walk, and it is very convenient to eat and hang out.
The overall style of the hotel is beautiful, the early details of the construction are exquisite, and the restaurant is also beautiful. The room is fully equipped with refrigerators, tea kettles, etc.
The front desk clerk is very enthusiastic and will greet you warmly every time you come in and out. Check-in is very fast and smooth.
The only shortcoming is that because it was built early, there is no charging port at the bedside, and the charging ports are all on the ground, which is inconvenient.
Generally recommended, you can experience different styles.

We had Hi-tea today, to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary and could not have had a more lovely experience. The staff, Chelsea, was very helpful and friendly with her service. Food was excellent with a lovely range, they were able to accomodate my food intolerance without any judgement or difficulty. The decor was delightful and made us feel like we had stepped back into time. Thank you for giving us a lovely memory.

We have travelled quite a lot but have never found a hotel that we have enjoyed more. We have stayed for 10 days in this elegant, old, beautifully restored hotel. It is very clean and the level of service unmatched. All the staff have been super friendly and efficient. Anthony was wonderful to help us sort out a problem we had at 6am. The fact that there is 24/7 staffing was so good. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Hobart.

Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant experience staying at this hotel last Saturday night. We were in a two bedroom suite on level 4, at the front of the building. Unfortunately there is very little soundproofing between the room and the street outside. When we went to bed around 10 o'clock, we were a bit irritated by the constant sound of noisy cars revving and hooning on the street outside. Then there was the frustrating hours of listening to drunks yelling and swearing for hours out on the street. Then when we finally managed to get to sleep, we didn't get to enjoy a Sunday morning sleep-in, because at 6.30 we were abruptly awoken by noisy leaf blowers getting blasted up and down the street out the front for the next half an hour . Oh well, we know not to stay here again, especially in a front room. My husband has stayed here in the past and said he didn't notice a problem in the past with other rooms.

Just lovely. Excellent, friendly service and front-desk advice (thanks, Kellie!). Perfect location. Comfortable bed, well-equipped room with neat historical touches, great bathroom amenities. Bar w/great mixology. We just loved the whole experience.
