The room provided by this hotel was so bad. The toilet in the room was connected to the room, so I couldn't use the toilet in the middle of the night, otherwise the loud pumping sound would disturb my sleep. In addition, the room I booked had 4A paper on the wall. The room felt uncomfortable at first glance. It looked like a temporary pavilion (a storage space next to the stairs). It felt very bad. . A hotel a little out of the ordinary! The hotel is small, and is located in a stately building from the 19th century. The common areas are nicely renovated and stately. The rooms are probably longer since someone has done something with them, but the whole place is very charming. Don't go here if you want a tidy, new hotel - choose this if you want to experience something different. Strange room arrangement with bathroom/toilet in the room (you have to be GOOD friends to share a room here!), but it was clean, and the bed comfortable. There is also no 24-hour reception. I arrived in the evening after the reception was closed and came to a locked door, but a phone call fixed the problem quickly. Not a very large selection for breakfast, but very nicely covered. VERY nice and attentive staff. Centrally located in Hobart, a block away from the Skybus stop.

A very classy establishment that whispers stories of times long ago.
Beautifully and tastefully decorated.
Not a laminated surface in sight.
Bed was extremely comfortable and room was big. We could do cartwheels.
No fancy mod cons - but none needed.
Everything required a short walk away.
Beautiful.
I’m already excited about staying here again.
