Moss Hotel

We stayed in a pod room & just loved the decor & moodiness of it! Fantastic staff, so so friendly & helpful. It was a bit of a mission to find it then park the car & walk back but worth it. Excellent location to walk around the wharf, restaurants & Battery Point. Lots of hidden spaces etc in the room, exciting finding them all. So different to find a hotel offering something different than a stark white room. The bathroom was GORGEOUS!! It was expensive though.

Dark and small , green bathroom ! And an apple 🍎 beside the bed ( which was floury ) no atmosphere! Room way too hot and can’t open a window ! Uncomfortable night sleep waking at least 4 times ! Fantastic location with great bars ! And then you have to pay for parking $20 and when you check out so does your car so not even 24hours parking ! Lucky parking is cheap in Hobart . And we had a couple of amazing meals out . If you want location this is your place ! If you want life, colour and air go find another hotel . Staff were incredible and polite

This has to be one of the coolest places I have ever stayed. The vibe and atmosphere of the old and new was very well done.

Sizeable bathroom and comfortable bed. Parking wasn’t included but we got lucky with on-street options.

Great stay here! King sized bed that was very comfortable, great ammenities, amazing views and easily accessible to the Salamanca area/city. Staff were very nice too!

Once you get around the somewhat tricky check-in/parking arrangement, you will find friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, although somewhat compact. We stayed in Moss 25 which is right on the Salamanca entertainment precinct. Plenty of choice with dining and drinking. You can take a post dinner stroll past the nearby waterfront which is lovely in the evening. My only complaint would be the blank concrete wall directly outside the window. Perhaps a mural and some plants might add to the interest? I would recommend Moss for a night or two in Hobart.

Lovely stay at Moss! A little bit of luxe in the middle of the action. Room was a standard hotel size, not large enough that you would want to spend too much time in it, but works well because the location promotes being out and about anyway….still super comfy though and a little bit special….bed sooo comfortable, pillows awesome and shower was great too with great water pressure. The colour scheme is very calming inside the hotel. Thoroughly recommend to anyone considering a mix of being in the heart of Salamanca without compromising quality….

Stayed at Moss 25, would recommend

Fantastic stay and would definitely recommend to other travellers. Close to everything that you can easily walk. Buses are regular to take you further. Many tours also available around the area which make your stay that extra bit nicer.
