The Tasman is a great hotel to stay if you want to be near the waterfront During our stay, we happened to chance upon the Dark Mofo Winter Feast and also had the chance to go to the nearby Salamanca Market which was just behind the hotel Owen the hotel receptionist was very welcoming and attentive The room was spacious with adequate amenities provided. One downside to mention was that the water pressure was rather weak and having to shower for a long time due to the weak shower made the experience not as pleasant. Would be wonderful if there was a bath tub too!

From Check In to Check Out, the experience was seamless. Fantastic accommodating staff, large, practical and comfortable room. The best bath robes of any hotel anywhere on the planet. Cannot recommend highly enough. Having stayed at many other top tier Hotels in Hobart, would not stay anywhere else when we next return. 11/10.

The environment is very good, the hotel itself is very artistic, and there are many artworks in it, the steak restaurant on the first floor tastes amazing

The location of the hotel is good, just beside the pier, the facilities in the room are all available, and the high-end configuration is the best hotel apartment I have ever stayed at. The front desk office of the hotel is super hard to find. I can't communicate in English. All of my son, a junior high school student, asked six or seven people and found the hotel front desk. They have already got off work, then they called and called us to find a green one. The button door, the key is that the door is not in the hotel yard, on the side of the building facing the road, we found it for a long time to find, then direct us to open a password box, and finally got the room key, I advise you, if I don't know a word of English. I have to go to the store during the working hours of the hotel. Otherwise, you can't understand the other person's words and you can't get the keys. Here is the photo of the hotel's front office. The Hunter room with terrace is divine. Gorgeous full size period bathtub and fireplace. We absolutely loved Maylands. Jess was so very generous catering to anything and everything we needed. The breakfasts are unbelievable, just beautifully prepared, presented, delicious meals. We could have stayed for months.

When it comes to writing a manual on how to own and operate a small boutique hotel then the manager Robert Devine and his team at The Rivulet must've written it. We were upgraded to the ''Alonnah Suite'' from a ground floor room for our two night stay in mid December. The quality of the room amenities were outstanding. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom beyond exceptional. Being at the back of the hotel the room was also very quiet with lovely views of Mt Wellington from the free standing claw foot bath. The breakfast was to die for. A smorgasbord of fresh produce all tastefully presented.

I don't know why Ctrip's price list does not include breakfast. Also add 50 more knives. The hotel said that the room was full of breakfast. I don't know if Ctrip wants to collect the difference or what. Five stars praised the hotel, the environment is very good. Same as the picture. Ctrip bad review.

Very perfect living experience, only 15 minutes drive from Hobart city, but you can get an unparalleled experience, it is great, I will stay again next time. It is suitable for children and the hotel service is very considerate. We booked the villa suite with a double sofa bed. It is very comfortable to stay with two children. The hotel also provided two additional children's breakfast. Elegant environment with Chinese service. The only drawback is the two black spiders found on the room curtains, but the old house is inevitable

A great 5 night stay in the center of Hobart. It exceeded my expectations. Very comfortable clean rooms, good bedding and with good internet access. Importantly one of the few hotels in Hobart with its own parking. It is limited so you have to make reservations prior to your arrival , but then your place is guaranteed. The $20 charge is very reasonable and you can come and go as you please knowing that you will be able to park. The location is hard to beat an easy walk to restaurants , pubs, shops , constitution dock and the Salimanca markets. On top of this the staff were pretty special and made our stay very pleasant. I followed some of their recommendations and was not disappointed. Good coffee comes to mind from one helpful lady when I asked. A stay in the center of Hobart does not come cheap, but I found their price for a stay very acceptable in comparison to other hotels. A glowing report to say the least , but they surprised me with the quality of our stay and helped us very much enjoy Hobart. Thoroughly recommended. Would stay again in a shot when revisiting Hobart. Our previous stay in Hobart was 44 years ago for our honeymoon. Thanks Allurity Pete and Claire
