We stayed at Keyforest for two nights, as part of a trip to the nearby Hakushu distillery. We did not know what to expect, as this was our first foray outside the major cities in Japan. To our very pleasant surprise, this turned out to be one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in some really great ones). The rooms were gorgeous and big, with amazing views of the surrounding mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed the on-site whiskey bar. The staff was very accommodating; when we wanted a different restaurant for our second night, they just drove us there and back. And we loved the private hot springs / spa area, maybe three minutes walk from the hotel itself. Then there's the Keith Haring Museum next door - took us about 30 minutes to go through, with a lot of cool artwork. Super great experience, we would love to go back!

松本に旅行に行った帰りに小淵沢にも寄り、こちらのホテルに宿泊しました。送迎時はオーナーさんの拘りということでスタッフさんがベンツで迎えにきてくれました。ホテルは美術館のような建物で、お部屋も細部まで拘ったデザインとなっておりました。バルコニースペースや屋上があるので森林浴を楽しみながら読書をしたり、シースルーのお風呂にゆっくり浸かるなど、満足感の高い滞在を楽しみました。温泉もかなり広い設備が貸し切りで使用でき大満足です！星を眺めながら入浴しました。スタッフさんの殆どは別な職種からの転職組とのことですが、逆にマニュアルっぽくないサービスがよかったです。また、朝食もとっても美味しかったです。全体的に大満足ですが、シャワーの水圧が今ひとつだったのと、温泉設備にあるトイレのウォッシュレットが壊れていた点、Wi-fiがパスワード無しのセキュリティがゆるいものであった点は不満です。（隣室に電波届くみたいなので少し気になりました。）
