Best hotel in Holbox? Located on the beach yet close to the village centre. Our room was medium size with nice balcony and sea view. Breakfast was included and excellent served in a nice small restaurant right on the beach. All staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Our third trip to Holbox, and third time staying at Hotel La Palapa. This is a wonderful, small boutique hotel. While the rooms are no frills, they are more than comfortable and kept immaculately clean. The same can be said about the grounds and exclusive beach area. The reception team is very helpful with suggestions or directions and we especially LOVE Isis. La Palapa also boasts a gem of a beach bar with excellent craft cocktails, and the restaurant’s breakfast choices are all very good. You are just a minute or two from the majority of the islands shopping and dining. We will always stay here when visiting Holbox.

Our whole experience at Beachfront Hotel La Palapa was terrific. From the moment we arrived, the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The drinks and food service were excellent. The grounds are kept clean daily. The beach area is cleaned every morning for the guests to enjoy. We had a great view of the ocean from our room. One thing that our room did not have, was a TV, but that didn’t really bother us too much as we were out most of the day. But it would have been nice to watch a movie at night before bedtime. The location is within a couple of blocks from town where you can take advantage of the local restaurants and bars. That being said, one thing that kept us up Friday and Saturday night was the loud music coming from a local bar a couple of blocks away. It went on until around 4 am. That’s when we realized what the ear plugs were for, but even that did not help much. Other than that our stay was quite pleasant.

Everything about our stay at Beachfront La Palapa was perfect. Have to give a big thank you to Jairo for helping me set up a birthday surprise in the room for when we got there, he was so helpful and did everything so beautifully! The location is perfect, the beds were super comfortable, the breakfast was amazing (I recommend the avocado toast) and all the staff was super friendly and helpful. It was nice and quiet at night but still close to all the bars and restaurants, and no sea**** on the beach at this location! We are definitely only staying here whenever we come to Holbox :)

El hotel es agradable y bonito y su personal también... Y la comida del restaurante está muy buena. Está frente a una mini playa casi inexistente por la marea a veces. No sea mejor zona de playa de la isla, pero está céntrico, depende de lo que busques eso está bien y mal, es verdad que está céntrico pero no llega el jaleo del pueblo porque está un poco metido ya en la playa. Nos quedamos sin agua potable un día y hubo restricciones y cortes. En otros lugares de la isla había agua, pero no sé calibrar si esto era un problema del hotel o de algunas zonas de la isla o qué, por la noche estaba resuelto.

This hotel is very expensive to what it offers. the first night they didn't have hot water then I reported and they keep me waiting for hours, until the issue was resolved next day. They do not have hair conditioning and body lotion in the room. The beach doesn't seem like in the pictures and the whole town was a floating mess. the mosquitoes bit us very badly right outside the hotel

Es un hotel maravilloso, he ido con amigas y varias veces sola, siempre podrás disfrutarlo de cualquier forma al ser solo adultos es un lugar muy tranquilo, las habitaciones muy comodas y lindas, la comida buenisima y excelentes precios , limpieza y mantenimiento en genral excelente y lo mejor el servicio que recibes de parte de todo el personal, esta es me parece mi cuarta ocasión en el hotel y definitivamente regresare
