Upon arrival our room had a strong musty odor. We asked if another room was available to move to that wouldn’t have the odor. The desk clerk gave us a hard time because we’d “used” the room. By used, we had used the bathroom after a long wait for the shuttle and ride to the hotel. The bed and everything else was untouched.
On the second day of our stay, we utilized the shuttle to go to the airport to pick up a rental car with no issues. When we called for a ride back from the airport, after waiting an hour for the shuttle to arrive, we called to check the status. They claimed we never called, but my cellphone call log proves we did call. Finally arriving back to the hotel, after the driver had a sleeping woman wrapped in blankets in the front seat of the bus with him, the desk clerk said it wasn’t their problem, that they have a third party shuttle company and continued to accuse me of lying that I called to request the shuttle. Even if it is a third party, they represent the hotel and should be a concern of the hotel.
We’re heading beck to FLL in February, 2024, and had hoped we’d have a good experience and stay at this hotel again, but after the way we were treated, I’ll never stay here again.
