Hotels in Islands District, Hong Kong

The room was right under some sort of fan/mechanism that had a really awful noise, so I couldn’t sleep well. As a bonus, there was a man next room with an added noise layer of terrible snoring. After the engineer came to confirm that the fan noise cannot be fixed, the receptionist offered a room change. The new room was less noisy. In general, the hotel is definitely not a bargain for the services it offers, however, it is acceptable for a change of city view.

It was a great family weekend. It was raining but the kids spent 3 happy hours at Epicland which is a couple minutes walk from the hotel .. I took the opportunity to enjoy the spa at Auberge .. they give 15% for hotel guests .. the next morning when it wasn’t raining we went to the swimming pool and it was very nice.. it’s a nice weekend get way from the city :)

The service was excellent! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by two receptionists who made us feel pretty welcomed. I pre-ordered a birthday package to surprise my best friend as we came here to celebrate her birthday. Everything was arranged accordingly and he even gave us a complimentary breakfast for two. They’ve been very accommodating during our stay and they were always available to offer any kind of assistance to us. Kudos to the team! The place itself is clean and sturdy, given that it’s been operating for more than four decades now. It has stunning view of the sea. We love seating on their veranda overlooking the wonderful view of Cheung Chau Island. It’s also just few steps away from the shore, so if you want to go swimming and have a comfortable nice place to stay at, Warwick is the perfect place to be! Until next time, Warwick Fam!

We loved our stay at Seaview, the owners were super friendly and went out their way to make us feel welcome. The accommodation is set on a quiet beach with hiking trails and good restaurants in close proximity. The breakfast was a set menu which was a good portion and differed daily. Rooms were clean with amenties like fridge and kettle, comfy mattresses and pillows. The only negative is the room size is small. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

A very small room with very little in it, but good value for money and can't fault the staff. They were very kind and helpful. Only problem was aircon was too loud and there's only one key card which makes things more difficult when you're staying with someone else.

Very convenient location, a very short walk from Yung Shue Wan Ferry Pier. Rooms are great for the short stay. Well equipped with all the amenities you would expect from a good hotel. The fridge is cold, the shower has good water pressure, the beds comfortable. The little balcony is great for sunset drinks. They also have rooms with kitchen, great for longer stays The bbq setup on the roof is a great option to grill the night away. Super relaxing with a gentle breeze in the evenings. It does require a HK$100 supplement and your own food and charcoal. .

On April 27th, we booked a suite on the 2nd floor at the Tai O Heritage Hotel for one night on June 22nd. My wife and I took the Ngong Ping 360 to Po Lin Monastery in the morning, and after having an exquisite lunch at the Monastery’s vegetarian restaurant, we took bus No. 21 to Tai O. Arrived at the hotel at about 3 pm and completed the check-in procedure within 10 minutes. We were very happy to receive a lucky bag for the 10th anniversary of the hotel. A hotel staff warmly brought us upstairs to our room. We were told that it was a little bit difficult to unlock the door because the hotel wants to preserve the original structure and appearance of the wooden door of the Old Tai O Marine Police Station (120 years ago). Although a very skilful demonstration was given, it was a hard job for us to unlock the door because of the handicap of our age. In the end, we had to trust the security system of the Hotel and didn't attempt to lock the door at all. After the opening hours for public visitors at 6 pm, the environment of the Hotel was very quiet and relaxing. We like very much the rustic continental style glass-roofed restaurant: sitting at a small table facing the Tai O Bay, we had a feeling of enjoying the harvest of our lifework. We know that Tai O Heritage Hotel is a non-profit organization with a mission to protect cultural relics and historic sites in addition to providing hotel services, and because there are only 9 rooms (6 on the first floor and 3 suites on the second floor), it is a big constraint to run the business successfully, we also understand that the cost-effective of room charges and meal prices must not be on par with the 5-star Hotels in the city. We will be back, thanks!

Merchants are very patient

As soon as I entered the room, I had turned on the left air conditioner 😍 It’s so intimate that there is air-conditioning when you enter the room in this weather. 👍 The terrace can be facing the sea. There is a buried platform. You can sit and watch the sea.

This is the second time we stayed in this hotel. Still love it. The location is prime, right at the beach, although it takes about 30 mins of walk from the pier. The place is clean, bright and very quiet at night. The staff is super helpful. We arrived late at night but they came to help with the check-in once we contact them. Will definitely stay again.
