Lychee Sunset Hotel Cheung Chau

Note that if you want to check in in person, the reception is located at a completely different address -- walk straight ahead after getting off the ferry and it's a shop on the right that also handles bookings for several other bnb places. Otherwise, if you show up at the hotel itself, check-in is by WhatsApp only, which is a bit annoying. Also note that there's no lift, and the hotel is situated on a slope, so try to avoid bringing a lot of baggage. While the opening hours of the restaurant / lounge area on the top floor are supposed to be until midnight, it is unstaffed and the air conditioning is turned off after breakfast hours, so I wasn't able to use the space despite it being a nice area to do some work or read.

Always grateful for keeping a beautiful seaside hotel at Cheung Chau. And the lady staff at the reception warmly assisted us to sort out some room issue. Thank you. The room is newly renovated with balcony of unbeatable seaview. I wish the ventilation of the rooms, including that of the bathrooms, would be further improved and cleaned regularly. We thoroughly enjoyed the room, the balcony and the sunbathing at the nice beach. Thank you.

We loved our stay at Seaview, the owners were super friendly and went out their way to make us feel welcome. The accommodation is set on a quiet beach with hiking trails and good restaurants in close proximity. The breakfast was a set menu which was a good portion and differed daily. Rooms were clean with amenties like fridge and kettle, comfy mattresses and pillows. The only negative is the room size is small. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return.
