I stayed at Hilton a few months ago. I would definitely stay at Ilikai if I had to choose between the two. I could stay in an ocean view room with a kitchen for less though the room was a little outdated and less beautiful than the room at Hilton. The staff was all friendly. I got a free ice cream, two bottles of water, and a newspaper every day in addition to admissions to two museums.

Dave's ice cream great. kitchen great. shower great.bell hops excellent.
building old and in ill repair. many holes in carpet.Many broken floor tiles.
Security almost non-existent. front desk often only manned by one person. Valet pking great.

The room was great. Better than what I expected. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable nor the pillows that were provided. The staff was great. Great location. Parking could be tricky.

We love the Ilikai because of the incredible beachfront views. Floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows make the price worth it. Valet parking was quick and very convenient and the hotel had East beach access. If staying one or two nights the Ilikai lite will do, multiple nights I would book Ilikai luxury suites as those are more comfortable.

Everything was great! No room service due to covid however just a call and they will deliver whatever we need and also pickup trash. No complaints
