FIRST CABIN INTERNATIONAL HAWAII
9.0 (127 reviews)

FIRST CABIN INTERNATIONAL HAWAII ★★★

📍 2270 Kalākaua Ave suite 1400, Honolulu

"This pod place was perfect for me. olde person, long layover, budget friendly ... close to the high prices, close to the low prices, centrally located in Waikiki. what's not to like.? my end-of-row lower pod was quiet and very clean. the mattress was very comfy, and i could charge my phone and pad. (First Cabin looses one smile because the shower curtains were a bit mouldy and thus a little whiffy. something a fortnightly bleach bath would easily cure.) same time, same place next year for me."

"Rooms were ok paid extra for oceanview room - it was adjoining room. Door not locked. Room next door had a party all night. Heard every word. Walls paper thin. Next door tried to get in through adjoining g door. Big fight at 4am with many expletives. Then at 5.30 marathon on beach kept us awake. Next night kids in hall way yelling. People in next door kept us awake with loud voices all night. Would not stay here again."

"The facilities and decor are quite old, but for this price, you can't expect too much. Hotels in the Waikiki area, especially those near the ocean and beach, usually cost upwards of $600. American hotels typically don't provide toiletries or slippers, but this was the first time I encountered a hotel without even tissues or bottled water. There's a water dispenser in the lobby on the first floor where you can refill your own. Breakfast only offered two choices: scrambled eggs and potatoes, plus coffee. The service, however, was quite good. The front desk allowed me to check in early, which I appreciated. The staff also kindly lent me a kettle because I enjoy drinking tea."

"Really great. I felt like among luxury hotels of this caliber, the price was the most reasonable. The service was good, and the location is excellent. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit. If you're really considering it, I highly recommend it. The room is also very spacious! On our last morning, we even saw a double rainbow from the hotel balcony."

FIRST CABIN INTERNATIONAL HAWAII ★★★
"Even though it was a room-only plan, there was a Target nearby, so we could eat things we bought there, plate lunches, or even items we brought from Japan in the common area lobby. It was great that there was a microwave, a fridge, and a toaster!"

"The location is decent, about a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport. The hotel is large, with plenty of restaurants and facilities nearby, and you can even participate in hotel activities. The overall service wasn't anything special, but the really annoying thing is that the hotel doesn't provide bottled water! Thumbs down! You can only drink tap water."

Ala Moana Honolulu by Mantra ★★★★
"Hotel is very convenient location with starbucks downstairs and mall next to it. However, it needs an upgrade such as a function to check out on TV. Also, need to do something about the elevator. It takes forever to get to the lobby or back upstairs with the elevator always full. Especially during busy hours and a long line to get into elevator. It was been a pain to wait for the elevator. I never have this issue with other hotels. The breakfast buffet can be better, but it is decent."

Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa ★★★★
"The room view was absolutely stunning! James at the front desk gave us a room on the 36th floor with a view of Diamond Head, and we couldn't hear any noise from downstairs, which was great. It also happened to be their 50th anniversary, so we received a complimentary water bottle and a commemorative bag. The hotel offered a fantastic range of activities; we could scan a QR code after checking in to book ukulele lessons, hula dancing, and more. They were all really fun and made for a wonderful experience."

Shoreline Hotel Waikiki ★★★★
"Fabulous boutique hotel. Thought of all the little things to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Staff were very polite and friendly. Great shower pressure, bed was comfortable and air con fantastic. We had a room on the 3rd floor and unfortunately we could smell one of the burger restaurants frying food each morning, which was not pleasant. Not the hotels fault, but it’s something to bear in mind if you’re given a lower floor. Rooftop pool is small but a nice extra if you don’t fancy the beach. Close to everything; restaurants, shops, beach. Would definitely stay again!"
