Hilton Grand Vacations Club Grand Waikikian Honolulu

It seems like it would be a good idea to prepare in advance for the lack of amenities around the hotel. It was a wonderful place where my family and I could enjoy a comfortable trip. I'd like to stay longer next time if given the chance.

We had an amazing stay, great hotel with an amazingly beautiful property. We will be back!!

We loved our stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Grand Waikikian tower room 2602 in February 2024. Our room was gorgeous- 2 bedrooms & 2 bathroom ocean view room. We had ocean views from both balconies, one facing forward and the other towards Diamond Head. We did have buildings in front of us but we still could see the ocean and the fireworks on Friday. The room was luxurious. We liked the Kitchen. The room was ready for check in 2 hours earlier than expected. If I stayed in Waikiki again I would stay at the other end of the Waikiki beach as there is more restaurants and things to do down that end. The HV was beautiful but the food and drinks were very expensive on the property and not many other restaurants near by. Goofys cafe outside the HV property had wait times of 1 1/2 hours in the mornings.

The place is very tidy and clean

I have used this property many times, but in this time the worst experience ever! Resort is great, only Grand Waikikian front desk staffs were horrible and ruined my vacations and BD. Choose different buildings like islander you have many options in this resort. I will never use Waikikian again! Grand waikikian charged another resort fees everyday even though already including the price on *******. It was not charged from another buildings, only Grand Waikikian charges double and secret, so watch out!

We stayed at this hotel in a 2 bedroom ocean view apartment. The apartment was very nice and well appointed with daily housekeeping with was perfect. It had a full kitchen for making meals for the kids and reheating big lunch leftovers. It is close to Ala Moana shopping center and a good coffee shop under the Prince hotel (for Aussies that would want decent coffee including flat white). ABC stores under and nearby as well. Whole Foods was a $10 Uber trip away too! In fact most Waikiki locations where we went were in this price range. The pool near the hotel, the Paradise pool was awesome for kids and warm. They had waterslides operating between 11 am and 5 pm. The pool opened at 9 am and closed at 6pm. There are multiple other pools in the complex and the beach is a short walk away. There is also the public lagoon, though it was really cold compared to the ocean and pool. The kids loved the fish in there. The only downside was the towel situation. They gave a pool towel card per person and you used that to collect towels. The towel stand would close at six at all pools except the Tapa tower. If you were at the beach in the afternoon until late and missed the towel stand, you either had to wash & dry the towels in the apartment or go to Tapa tower to return. We opted for wash and dry. We tried a few food outlets in the complex. Tropics bar was ok, though my husband’s chicken came out undercooked! He also had an awful soggy Reuben sandwich at CJ’s New York Style Deli. Overall it was a great stay.

Great for kids, safe area to swim, very walkable

This property was absolutely perfect! Room was spacious and updated. Pools were a bit crowded but the beach was just a few more steps away. Would definitely visit this same property again!
