The rooms are clean, neat, and in good condition. The decor and furnishings were good quality and tasteful. The staff were all courteous, helpful, and professional. There were only a couple things that weren't perfect: 1) The sleeper sofa I used was not comfortable but maybe no sleeper sofas so I could simply have unrealistic expectations, and 2) the open atrium has a lot of echos so any noise I hear either from the lobby or the other floors can be heard through the door of my room which I found very distracting when I'm trying to sleep.

We are Hilton Honors members and stay exclusively at Hilton properties whenever possible. They are dependable and consistent, but are always missing the small details that would bring them to great in my opinion. Service is always excellent and property is always well maintained. The details that are consistently missing: GOOD COFFEE, lighted magnified makeup mirror, nice fluffy towels and lots of them, more than one bar of soap, extra pillows. At this hotel we had three pillows, if you are going to sit up and read you need at least four. There was not a single wash cloth so I used a large towel to wash my face. Only one bar of soap and no shower gel so the soap travelled from sink to shower a few times. No top sheet on the bed so we were sleeping directly under the quilt, kind of creepy wondering if they wash the quilt after every guest. This hotel had excellent security which I appreciated because the neighborhood is a bit sketchy. You could not enter the hotel at all or use the restrooms in the lobby without a hotel key. If you didn’t have a key the receptionist would have to buzz you in. Valet parking only and expensive at $49, but worth it for convenience and safety. I did not take advantage of the pool or breakfast, but nice that they have them.

This is our third stay at the Oceana and it does not disappoint. The hotel is beautiful, food delicious and staff is incredibly professional, helpful and kind. We love the Lanai suite which is well appointed and the housekeeping staff keeps everything super clean and tidy. The pool area is a favorite of the kids and the perfect temperature. Family friendly and we have met other nice guests. From the moment you arrive, Lenny (Bell Captain) and Dan are there to greet you and are exceptional. The other valets - David, Nestor, Noba are also terrific. At the front desk Joshua made coordinating back to back reservation seamless. One only needs to ask and they respond quickly such as water, ice, a working iron to replace the one whose cord would not stay out. The waitstaff was very present and worked incredibly hard. Shout out to Alberto, KaiLyn, Yara, Rolando, Jonathan, Chris and Lucien who kindly got my granddaughter a birthday dessert. You know you have a fabulous General Manager when they are visible and help out where needed. We throughly enjoyed meeting Diego and look forward to returning to the Oceana and seeing the updated restaurant. .

My new favorite hotel in Los Angeles is the Proper hotel Santa Monica. From the minute I arrived I felt enveloped in understated luxury. The color scheme is neutral and relaxing and everything is designed to calm the senses and the mind. This is a very generous hotel offering free boxes of water and a beautiful coffee and tea spread every morning. This type of generosity goes a long way to building loyalty and making a guest feel special. The rooms are beautifully appointed. This compensates for the small size of the rooms. The gym is one of the best fitness centers I have been to in any hotel and the equipment is up to date and in excellent condition. The roof top bar is chic and stylish without being pretentious. I loved this hotel and will return again and again. I would say it is in my top ten in the world!

Behind is downtown, which is quite convenient for eating and shopping. All the facilities of the room are in blue. There is parking on the first floor, which is charged per day. When setting the navigation, you should set it according to the address. By name, the first guide is wrong. It leads to the Santa Monica City Hall. The actual two places are far away. Living here is the next day, half an hour by plane from the airport. It is not far from the beach and the Getty Center. The hotel is really expensive, the room is small, the facilities are average, there are mosquitoes, breakfast and other such breakfasts of Inn, Motel are almost the same, ok. The place to eat breakfast is small. The hotels in Santa Monica are very expensive. This parking is free of charge and is suitable for self-driving.

A flawless experience from start to finish, Casa Del Mar made our experience wonderful. We could stay there forever! The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly and the AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts benefits were superb, too. Our room looked out directly onto the beautiful beach & boardwalk, and the jacuzzi tub was an amazing added bonus! The outdoor pool & hot tub were amazing, and just perfect to watch the beautiful west-coast sunsets. We also enjoyed the bar and a nice breakfast overlooking the ocean in the morning, and the free bike rental service to bike to Venice Beach. The entire experience was brilliant, do not hesitate to stay at this amazing hotel and make sure you make time in your schedule to enjoy all the amenities on offer.

1. We bought this hotel at that time and it was clear that parking was free and then there was no breakfast. Later we checked in that night and told us to pay $ 17. GGuest UserThe hotel is on the second street, just one block away from the main ocean view street. It is one block away from the 3rd street promenade end (the pedestrian commercial walk). All of this makes a very good location for touristic purposes. There are not many convenience stores around, but some within walking distance. The main restaurants and bars are a bit further, but also within walking distace. The hotel itself has very nice staff and very modern and nice decor. There are many signs of neglection here and there (minor details), nothing that affect the stay or the ambience per se, but for very detail oriented people, this might look weird. Other than that, the hotel is a very nice stay.

GGuest UserThe prices of hotels in this area are pretty competitive,so don’t don’t be fooled by the shore hotel’s rates! The hotel is nice, in a prime location, and each and every staff member was kind and extremely helpful. We met Ramon on the first night of our stay and he and the rest of the staff have been nothing but personable, helpful and attentive. To top it all off, the hotel food is actually better than some of the much more expensive restaurants in the area. Moral of the story: stay at the shore hotel, you won’t be disappointed!
