Magnolia Hotel Houston, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

We had a great stay at magnolia. The service was superb and cleanliness was awesome. I will 100% recommend this hotel for anyone swishing to stay in downtown Houston.

We so in love with this hotel. Room was super romantic (and clean), great view and amazing pool.

I stayed here for a couple weeks when moving for work. The people running the hotel are great at what they do. Especially the valet guys (Jerrel, Alfredo, and Melvin), the restaurant staff (Francisco and Peaches), and the front desk folks (George and Northan). All great at their jobs and know how to make the guests happy. Room was nice, bed was comfortable, and all felt very clean. Excellent hotel and great experience. Highly recommend.

Not sure how this is a 4-star hotel given its lack of amenities, and just overall average experience in the hotel room. Things were fine, but not for the price. The look and feel of the room is more 2-3 star, with poor caulking throughout the bathrooms, shower curtains (with some mold), plastic trash cans, unpainted walls and a TV from 2005. Only lotion and soap are available. One tissue box in bathroom, etc. Nothing 4-star about the room. Trash in the hallway from another room (and in the ice room) was there over 12 hours. Top floor gym AC was broken but they did provide some portable AC units (though still hot). Pool is nothing to write home about. No water, very bare. Homeless lined up down the block - which is NOT the hotel’s fault obviously - but a consideration. Restaurant was great. Overall it’s a good hotel, but your expectations for a 4-star won’t be met here.

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend and I can't express enough how exceptional the service was through out the whole stay. As soon as we got there valet not only helped me get out from the car but insisted they would help with our bags, when I mentioned I had no cash to tip they replied "we do it for the service, don't worry about it" Kamara was very polite and helpful, when we came in Varnika in the front desk was truly helpful in having our keys pre ready and told us where to go, it took less than 5 minuets for our check in process. Our first night was amazing as we ate in the restaurant each waiter was outstanding Francisco and Anthony were great with us and Peaches was very attentive from the start to the end, making sure we had everything we needed. the next morning we had breakfast and we met Robert who took really good care of us, I really enjoyed how attentive every staff member is here. The second night we wanted to eat at the restaurant they had a prom going on and we were told we could eat on the first floor, however my husband and I decided to do room service instead and we met Edgar who was exceptional from when we called to place the order to the point from him delivering our food. He was prompt and very professional most of all very friendly. For our first time staying here I have never felt as well taken care of as I did during my stay here at Magnolia Houston, each staff member truly made us feel as royalty, I have stayed at other hotels before but Magnolia Houston truly gained a regular. We will definitely be back to stay for other occasions. Thank you to all your staff the customer service was exceptional and my overall experience with each member from valet, front desk, waiters, and room service was outstanding, I can not wait for my next stay here.

Camara (valet) was extremely professional and accomodating!. Even though the Valet was busy he still insisted on helping me take my items to the room. From the valet and front desk both so far have been smooth, professional and quick to ensure my stay here would be memorable. Highly impressed with the spacious room as well!

Excellent experience

Great hotel. Our only complaint was that the 2nd floor bar and restaurant was just too cold!
