Hotel Icon, Autograph Collection

The hotel is lovely. Parking was a breeze, check in fast and the room was large and well appointed. The staff were great. It just felt a little unsafe at night in the surrounding area. When you get a few blocks away it improves.

Nice hotel with beautiful style. Neighborhood is a bit rough if youre planning to stay there on leisure. Excellent though if you have to be downtown for work. It used to be an old bank and they kept the theme which kept it more interesting than a regular chain hotel without character and charm.

This is the BEST hotel in downtown Houston, hands-down! If you want to experience true luxury and an attention to detail that you won't find in a standard hotel, don't hesitate to book at this ICONIC downtown hotel. From luxurious rooms, complete with the finest amenities, like Keurig coffee makers, in-room refrigerators and spacious rooms; this is your only choice. The staff at the Icon is beyond explanation; they took care of so many details of my last minute emergency wedding issues due to an unprecedented storm in Houston on Thursday, May 16, 2024. From a last minute bridal room (they even found some rose petals to use!) to a Sunday wedding brunch by the banquet staff, this hotel went over and above EVERY expectation I ever had, without ANY hesitation! Not only is the Icon luxurious, it's so ideally located that you can walk to everything you need. Or, it's just a quick Uber/Lyft away at best. With so many amazing restaurants and bars literally across the street (I see you, AngelShare, Hearsay, La Calla Tacos!) don't forget the breakfast buffet and restaurants on site are fantastic as well. If you need a larger space for things like family gatherings, business meetings, or just want to be able to stretch out in a massive space, GET THE HOSPTILAITY SUITE (I had 1217!). It's so roomy with a butler's pantry, dining table, living room, guest half-bath, and a clawfoot tub and super spacious bathroom. It is truly heavenly! I can't wait to book my next trip to Houston and my stay at the Icon again, and I cannot recommend it enough! If you deserve the best, you deserve to stay at the Houston Icon!

Jairo provided amazing guest service and was very nice. They brought down our vehicle is a fast pace and exceded out expectation. Will definitely find my way back to the icon on our next trip, thank you for all you do and the amazing experience

From the time we arrived, the young lady, Trish, at the front desk was wonderful! We had a great stay, our only "complaint" is that there are not fans in the room. But realistically, it's a hotel. Everything was great!

Love the hotel. Very beautiful and roomy. All the staff was so helpful! The young lady that checked us in and out was charming ( May1 8-19, 2024) only sorry I didn’t catch her name.She gave us restaurant recommendations and ever so helpful. Valet staff so very nice and quick. Ms. Lopez at the bar was very personable and Johnny on the spot. So close to everything downtown with a shuttle. Would recommend highly!

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years. It's still one of my favorite in Houston. The building has character and takes you back to a different time. Rita at the frontdesk is always friendly and helpful. Jennifer the bartender is one of the best in Houston. The hotel is right in the middle of an active nightlife district. A number of great restaurants are within walking distance.
