Hotels near Mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang in Hue

I'd like to start by saying that the staff at the resort are wonderful people and it hurts me to write such a negative review as I don't want to impact them. That being said I think it would be irresponsible of me not to let other people know that what they are seeing being advertised on this resorts website along with Expedia, Agoda, Booking etc...is not accurate. This was once a beautiful place but that is a time gone past, as you will notice the pictures and amazing reviews are mainly from 2019 and older. Upon arriving it feels like it's an abandoned place, with very few guests, limited amenities are available, the main pool is not sanitary and I would say not safe to swim in. Everything is overgrown, the beautiful water fountains that I'm sure once welcomed guests are absent and overall it seems as if time has stood still. The rooms were one of the few highlights as the interior were fairly nice and clean. I think what is particularly unacceptable is that they are advertising as if they are a 5 star resort and spa, charging guests some of the higher end pricing for hotels in Hue when they are clearly not anymore. Today this should be a backpackers hangout priced at $25 a night and this would be a great deal, you get what you pay for and that would be fair (I am a backpacker as well). We decided to not even stay a night, checked out and paid for the one night that we didn't use so we could go into Hue and booked a beautiful high end hotel for $30 a night less than what Sankofa charged us. I wish them all the best and hope that ownership is able to invest what is needed to bring this once beautiful place back up to what it deserves to be but until then BUYER BEWARE.

Don't be confused by the low price, this hotel is excellent value for money. We stayed in a deluxe room at the Hong Thien Ruby Hotel for two nights in January 2023. The hotel is centrally located, in a popular quarter of Huê with numerous bars and cafes, but set back in a small side street, so it is quiet at night. We could sleep very well even with the windows open. The rooms have older furniture, but everything is in good shape. The rooms offer decent facilities with air conditioning, fan, hairdryer, safe and fridge. There is also soap, toothbrush and a small shower gel. The best thing, however, is the lovely and very helpful English-speaking hostess, who gave us advice and organised our onward journey by bus. You notice right away that she runs this hotel with a lot of love and commitment.

Fantastic stay. Such friendly staff, convenient location, clean room and great recommendations for the city tour. We also booked the bus ride with 4 stops to Hội An and the boat ride to the temple. Definitely worth looking into it. Breakfast was also delicious. Would come back again

Amazing stay at Vinpearl Hue. The staff was amazing ( all the front desk employee , the concierge was really helpful since we wanted to have some info for the imperial city. Pool attendants both amazing and really attentionned to small details). Vinpearl was one of our highlights of our trip ! Room was really clean and the view was incredible . Nice sky bar. Truly a 5 stars hôtel with the small attentions they give you!

A beautiful and stylish resort nested in a lush tropical setting in a quiet and authentic neighborhood just outside Hue. The very efficient, polite and friendly staff provide a perfect service. Comfortable, spacious and very pleasant rooms. Plentiful, well attended breakfast with an very satisfying and complete choice of food options. Big, beautiful and very pleasant pool. The staff kindly but firmly make sure the rules are respected to keep the place quiet and pleasant for everybody. The complimentary 30 minutes spa therapy is a pleasant plus. Kindly upgrade on my second stay. Nothing to fault this lovely place really. Thank you Xin Chao for the kind supervision of my reservation and stay. Looking forward to my next stay at the wonderful Pilgrim Village.

A wonderful hotel, slightly off the beaten track but an excellent place to stay. The hotel itself is modern, clean and accommodating. The staff are brilliant, helpful, friendly staff and yet, professional. The breakfast buffet is awesome with a great variety and fantastic options. Rooms are spacious and comfortable as is the bed. A walk in shower is a real bonus. Recommended and it's a short cab ride to the CBD.

Very convenient because it was very close to the station and the hotel facilities are also It was a very good hotel for not bad value for money. Highly recommended. do.

Lovely hotel! It was the perfect stay. We loved the room it had a beautiful view of the city and all the amenities like the gym! I also had a couple of spa services there and was very pleased with the massages. We were also close by to many attractions and good food.
