Only my room (compared to my friends rooms - more than 15 of them) was given a few laichi fruit, we would have liked their juicy tangerine. How the hotel has been maintained so well for over a century, 125 years truly amazes me. Food of Hué was truly showcased during breakfast and the local Phó was top notch. I have given the hotel short of a star DUE TO service, especially the front desk. I felt that I was unfairly treated, perhaps due to their inability to converse in English? The case of my room card that dropped out of my pocket - requested for another card was a harsh punishment by making me wait for over 30 minutes (prioritizing other guests who came after me). As if it is not frustrating enough, they fined me for VND 100,000 for the lost card. An experience that deters me from staying there again"
