Outstanding
GGuest UserWe loved staying at Lumiere. Very modern and they were wonderful when we realised we had left our passports in the house after we had checked out. Very helpful. One downside was the pin numbers to get into each bedroom. We had to leave the doors ajar so that we could get into our children's room at night.
Also the house didn't have very hot water so the big beautiful bath wasn't as lovely and warm as I could have been.
The master bedroom was so luxurious.
Overall we loved our time here. Will be back if we visit Hue again!
AAnnabel P.A hidden gem in Hue. Very central to everything but as it just down a side street, it's very private and quiet. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and I was taken very good care of by staff and owners who were all very kind and helpful.. They even upgraded me to a larger room with a balcony for free! The room and bathroom is very big and also very clean. Great price point for a budget traveller. Bonus is they also have a lift!!! I highly recommend and would stay there again next time I am in Hue.
GGuest UserThe hostel was clean and the rooms were very well designed.
The staff was friendly.
The location was in the middle of the touristy area so it can be kinda loud around.
We had a bad experience with doing laundry in the place though, we're backpacking and going around Vietnam on our motorcycle, and we needed to have almost all of our stuff washed as we've been on the road for a while, the rate was 80k for 5kg, we sent in 5.4 kg and got charged 100k, while getting dressed for adventure next morning we found out that all clothes that had a stain on them had the same exact stains and even more stains from detergent (one of the jackets had a sticker on it, and when we got it back it still had the sticker so idk if it was even washed), we sent them back again, got them back later and they were still very unclean and had the same stains on them, I talked to the staff but my issue was not resolved and I had to do laundry again in the next city.
It was kinda wasteful for our time and money tbh, but otherwise the place was nice.
CCheryl_Huynh01Spent 3 days at Leranda, we arrived early and left pretty late due to our flight but the host helped us to look out for our luggage. The whole stay was amazing, we felt like home staying here. Location is right in the Pedestrian street, however it stays apart from all the noise which makes it a hidden gem for solo travelers. Breakfast was so amazing, we did not skip a meal here. The homestay also offers bike renting, it’s a little pricey comparing to other places but considering the convenience and the bike’s condition, it’s acceptable for us. Would definitely choosing Leranda again if we come back to Hue next time!
MMarioAerI stayed in a single room, which was very clean and had a hot shower. Overall, it was a great stay. Lee was incredibly helpful and provided useful advice on anything I needed. The rest of the staff were also polite and accommodating. One staff member even brought my bicycle inside the hotel at night for added security, which I really appreciated.
The hotel offers a range of services. I used the laundry service, which was excellent, and booked a shuttle bus to Hoi An, and everything went smoothly.
The only downside was the noise. Renovations were underway, and work started at 7:30 AM, even on Sundays, which was quite disruptive. Hopefully, the renovations will be completed soon.
DDutchindisguiseLocation: in Hué’s city centre in an alley, away from the main road. In the evening is it quiet.
Facilities: The front of the building has a small communal area, where in the morning a simple breakfast is served…The dorms are spread over the ground floor (dorm without windows) and first floor (better, because has windows). Beds are old styled iron frames so if your upstairs neighbor is a wild sleeper during the night, you will have a rocky night. Bathrooms are simple and clean. Staff is friendly. Good proper place to stay in Hué, but not particularly memorable.
GGuest UserThis place is a little gem. I stayed on the first floor in a super clean room with its own bathroom. I regret not taking pictures.
Downstairs is a really cool restaurant and coffee shop. Staff exceptionally friendly. They really get to know their guests. Great breakfast (optional).
Last night, being Tet, they threw a free party. All owners, family, staff and customers. Great experience.
One small thing, window at the back of my room had no cover/curtain. Very bright early in the morning. Easily fixed.
I will definitely return.
LleemypWe booked rooms for 1 night only, but faced multiple problems.
1. They rent bikes till midnight only! But nobody told us that information. And the next day in the early morning (7.40 am) I got a message from a reception with ”if you keep bikes now we are going to charge you for one more day”. Day before I asked at reception ”should we bring bikes back before chekout” and answer was OK! So remember that you have to bring it till midnight, if you rent for 1 day only. Otherwise they tell you that you rent for more than 1 day! And probably no one is going to say you this information before.
2. I paid all the prices online, but at checkout they asked me to pay by cash... So actually it was kinda annoying, cause we waited for a taxi, but i had to explain that I already paid online.
3. So there were few little mistakes/misunderstandings. For example my friends ordered breakfast while check-in, but tomorrow morning stuff said ”you didn't order breakfast” and stuff like that. Small problems, but it was a lot of them
But my room was nice, clean and with a perfect view.
The area is quiet and calm, but not much food around, you have to drive/walk for it.
GGuest UserExcellent location in the ancient part of the city, away from touristy commercial hell. I stayed alone in a bedroom with a double bed. The walls are very thin and the family that runs the hotel starts their activities at 5AM with pretty loud talking, so you'll need earplugs if noise bothers you like me. The equipment was basic but had everything I needed: aircon, hot water (albeit with a quite small heater that allowed for 10 minutes or so). You can rent motorbikes on location and the staff is helpful even in spite of the language barrier. Good value for your money
