Luxury Hotels in Hue

"After spending time relaxing in Da Nang, I added Hue to my itinerary because I wanted to experience more of Vietnam’s history, culture and traditional architecture. For my stay, I chose Meliá Vinpearl Hue, and it was a comfortable base for exploring the city. The first thing that stood out was the size of the room. The room was spacious, modern and very comfortable, with an impressive bathroom that added a feeling of luxury to the stay. The view from the room was also a highlight. Being able to look over Hue from above gave a completely different perspective of the city, especially in the morning when I woke up to the hills in the distance. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore nearby restaurants, cafés and attractions. After spending the day walking around Hue in the heat, returning to a comfortable and spacious room was exactly what I needed. My only small criticism was that the room had carpet, and I felt the carpet could have been vacuumed more thoroughly before my arrival. This did not ruin my stay, but it was something I noticed. Overall, Meliá Vinpearl Hue provided a comfortable and relaxing experience. If you are looking for a modern hotel with spacious rooms, great views and a convenient location while exploring Hue, this is a good choice."

"A wonderful resort away from the hustle and bustle. Superb service, delicious breakfast, good food at the à la carte restaurant. The sea is like an ocean, with huge waves and a beautiful, clean beach! Lovely, smiling staff and excellent service. The large swimming pool, however, is in a terrible state! Peeling tiles, mold on the edges, and some parts of the edges are completely missing tiles, probably for a long time now. There's dirt floating in the pool. My child swam underwater once and refused to swim again. Please, fix the pool! Please renew your pool, you need to close it, clean and renew it properly, and then open it to the public. Everything else is perfect. Thanks for the free bicycles!"

"Perfect vacation spot, away from the city. Takes about 10 min grab ride to the city and attractions. They upgraded us from a one bedroom villa to a two bedroom villa. Rooms r comfortable and clean. It has induction cooker, fridge and freezer, microwave, but no utensils provided (I believe you can ask for them). The private onsen in the apartment is clean and hot spring water is less warm than the public onsen. Would recommend visitors to go for both the public and private onsen to get the full experience. The public onsen (ie. They call it ”luxury onsen”) includes both indoor and outdoor hot spring pools, saunas and a cold bath... Similar to those in Japanese onsen (and even cleaner). Breakfast has a wide variety of choices, both Western and Asian. We took a full board plan (breakfast, lunch dinner) on our 3rd night. To be honest, we think that half board (breakfast and dinner only) is sufficient as the lunch and dinner menu at the Sasa café is the same. The landscape of the resort is pretty and many places to relax and enjoy the scenery. The only feedback I have is that there are ants indoors, in the room and on the cafe tables (unavoidable due to environment where the resort is located). The path leading to the apartment entrance has rocks, so be careful with your luggage. Lastly, service was excellent."

"If you're looking for a five-star hotel in Hue that combines a great location, beautiful views, and a resort-like atmosphere, I highly recommend Grand Royal Riverside Hue, Fusion Collection. The hotel is situated on the banks of the Perfume River (Sông Hương), making it incredibly convenient for visiting important historical sites such as the Hue Imperial City (Kinh thành Huế), Dong Ba Market (Chợ Đông Ba), and Thien Mu Pagoda (Chùa Thiên Mụ). Whether you're planning a tour of the World Heritage sites or craving authentic Hue beef noodle soup (Bún bò Huế), everything is easily accessible. Upon entering, the lobby's design is elegant and grand, blending modern aesthetics with cultural elements of the Hue Imperial City. The overall space is spacious and bright, exuding a understated luxury. The guest rooms are comfortable and expansive, with large floor-to-ceiling windows that let in natural light. Some rooms even offer stunning views of the Perfume River, providing a relaxing atmosphere by day and tranquility by night – perfect for slowing down and appreciating the charm of this ancient capital. The hotel's breakfast offers a rich selection, including both international dishes and a variety of Vietnamese specialties. The staff are friendly and attentive, and from check-in to check-out, you can feel Fusion Collection's consistent commitment to excellent guest experience. I particularly enjoyed strolling along the Perfume River in the evening, taking in the sunset and night views, before returning to the comfort of my room. It truly allowed me to experience the leisurely and elegant pace of Hue, this thousand-year-old ancient capital. Reasons to recommend: ⭐ Five-star accommodation quality, with comfortable and modern rooms ⭐ Scenic views of the Perfume River, in a tranquil and beautiful environment ⭐ Close to major attractions like Hue Imperial City and Dong Ba Market ⭐ Abundant breakfast with both Vietnamese and international cuisine ⭐ Friendly and meticulous service, resulting in an excellent stay experience ⭐ An ideal choice for exploring Hue's World Heritage sites If you're traveling to central Vietnam and wish to delve into the history and culture of the Nguyen Dynasty's ancient capital while enjoying a high-quality accommodation, Grand Royal Riverside Hue, Fusion Collection is definitely a recommended five-star hotel and one of the most satisfying stays of my trip to Hue."

"We booked a 3 days 2 nights stay in a two-bedroom Lagoon View Villa, and it was incredibly spacious and comfortable. A special thank you to Ms. Nhi for her warm hospitality and for surprising me with a beautiful birthday cake. She also generously shared a potent, fresh ginger welcome drink that actually cured my sister’s cough. I highly recommend the spa; I had a Vietnamese massage with cupping that was professional and deeply relaxing. Dinner at Horizon Restaurant was scrumptious, with fresh flavors and a lovely atmosphere overlooking the lagoon. The hotel makes exploring very easy by offering a free shuttle to Hue City. We took advantage of this for a half-day trip which is very convenient."

"I had a wonderful stay at Indochine Palace Hotel in Huế. The hotel combines classic elegance with modern comfort, creating a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with excellent beds and thoughtful amenities. The staff were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of both Vietnamese and international dishes, all fresh and delicious. The swimming pool, gym, and spa were also excellent and made the stay even more enjoyable. The only downside was the layout of the twin room. It is not very convenient for friends sharing a room because the toilet and bathroom are connected by a single door, which offers limited privacy. Overall, Indochine Palace offers excellent value for a five-star hotel. Despite the room layout, I would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Huế."

"Compound located about a ten-minute Grab ride from downtown. A collection of small three-story buildings (no elevator) and villas/rooms scattered through a jungle-like maze of greenery. Visible red brick, tiled roofs. We stayed in a villa/room located at the top of about fifteen steps (thanks to the staff who handle luggage on arrival and departure). The building contained the room and bathroom (single sink, bathtub). Nicely decorated, with slate, statues, and vases in a Cham-inspired style. Unfortunately the wifi router looks like it was added without the decorator's knowledge... A unique touch: the shower is outdoors, in nature (supposedly no one can see in — see photo). We were basically in the middle of the jungle, so don't expect a complete absence of insects and critters (geckos, ants, mosquitoes...), but for mosquitoes the villa had at least four lines of defense (mesh screens on the doors, mosquito coils lit by staff in the evening, a UV/suction trap device, and a bed net). The first three were enough, and we never needed to use the bed net (which has its own charm — a four-poster-style bed). Well-stocked breakfast buffet with Vietnamese specialties. Only downside: eggs Benedict served without sauce or bread... Yoga at 7:45am daily, but unfortunately we couldn't make it (feeling a bit under the weather). The room is inspiring (see photo), located in the compound's spa area. Tested 😀the 1-hour full body massage. Very good and relaxing. Slept here. Done in separate little houses. Choice of oil: cajuput, ylang-ylang, lavender, lemongrass, eucalyptus. The spa’s signature oil is cajuput, locally hand-made from tea-tree-family leaves that cools the body. But the smell is too strong for me. Interesting concept with three pools -- one for kids with a slide, a main one with a bar/snacks, and a third ”quiet” pool, technically reserved for guests over 12 (or at least an area where you're not supposed to talk). This last pool is also reserved for villa guests. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Managers were quick and efficient at resolving issues. Communication via WhatsApp for any problems or arranging cars/excursions. WeChat unfortunately not available."

"First of all, this hotel is a piece of art. The interior is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are also beautiful, you won’t stop taking pictures of the interior. The bed was super comfortable. Has an ATM across the street. The location was very good for exploring both the citadel and the tomb, however it is slightly far from the walking street and boat. There are some areas of to watch out for. The pool was cold and not suitable for swimming. The gym also closes at around 9 pm, which is quite early. The sauna is quite hidden. The shower curtain was old and had a smell. The bathrobe had some dirty spots. The breakfast was OK, very healthy, but I found a long string of hair in a chicken plate, which as upsetting."

"When we first arrived, everything felt slow and quiet compared to other modern hotels. But the longer we stayed, the more we appreciated the experience. On our last day, I didn’t want to go anywhere—I just wanted to sit in my room and look out at the garden and river. It turned out to be one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Moreover, the staff—from the front desk to the restaurant, room service, and management—were professional, kind, and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Hoa at the front desk and Ms. Tam, one of the managers. They were professional, attentive listeners, and quickly resolved a small issue I had at the pool."
