GGuest UserYou step into Fuzeyuan Guest House off a busy street and it is like an oasis of quiet and calm. The guest house is round an internal courtyard, open to the sky. On all 3 levels there are places to sit and relax - the roof level is particularly nice. Our rooms were very well appointed, with comfortable beds and nice showers.
This is the owner's home, and the first night there was a bit of a party going on, so there was some noise till about midnight. The second night it was very calm and quiet. It's in a good position in the town, within walking distance of several tourist attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Jianshui and in the guest house.

MM377350****Very satisfied with the homestay, the front desk was very enthusiastic to take us in. It was a lady who also helped us carry our luggage. When we left, we watched us drive out safely. The service was in place. There was a fruit plate every day. Auntie saw that we liked to eat sunshine roses. We gave it to us, and the room was satisfied and quiet. Sleep well.

GGuest UserWe had a truly enjoyable stay at this lovely homestay in Jianshui. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, giving us a comfortable place to relax after exploring the town.
The location was perfect—peaceful, yet just a short walk or ride to Jianshui's historic old town, the Confucius Temple, and the beautiful Zhu Family Garden. The architecture and local atmosphere were charming, and we felt like we got a real taste of traditional Yunnan culture.
Our hosts also provided great suggestions for local food and sights, which made our trip even more memorable. This homestay was the perfect base for discovering the beauty and history of Jianshui.
Highly recommended—we would happily stay here again!

GGuest UserSuper cozy yard very nice person quiet and large room, close to main street and very convenient to everywhere. Thanks for suggestions and helps from the elegant hostel lady, like went back home and saw your grandma and family. Jianshui is also worth to go back many times, time stopped there and addicted to various rice noodles.

XxoolisaI had a lovely one night stay here, but I wish I had more days. The location is within the ancient city but in a quiet street so you can easily access the sights without being in the crowd. The owner is the architect of the place, and you can see the thoughtfulness and taste everywhere. The decor is beautiful but not overly done, and details are delicate. I had the room with a slide and it was a creative addition. The towels are super soft and all the hardwares are high quality.
At night the owner invited me to drink tea with him and another couple who was also traveling. We talked about our travel stories and beliefs - it was a wonderful time and left great memories in Jianshui!

QQiyueThe inn is on the edge of the west gate, and the old house has been changed. This room is a bit small, 2 people live in a crowded room, the suitcase is not too spread, it should be the smallest one in the whole inn. The washing and shower room are outside the room, and the proprietress uses all the available space. The proprietress is very enthusiastic and talkative, helps with luggage, takes parking, and can book a room in the ancient city during the summer vacation is already lucky.

Location : a 5mn walk from the Old city, and from lots of restaurants at night. very easy to find.
Staff : very nice staff! Despite not speaking English, they tried their best to please me. They helped me book a taxi, and talk to the driver. I was disappointed I was not in the building with the garden, and granted me access to the garden part.
Hotel : Congratulations to the designer, who is a VERY talented person. The design, mixing old and new, is absolutely stunning. It respects tradidtions, but with a twist.
the garden is exceptional. having the tea there was one of the highlights of my entire trip.
Rooms : they are super luxurious, huge, with marble bathrooms and Japanese toilets. But a loise of traffic noise from mine.
Only downside : this hotel is made of two buildings, which are on the other side of the street. The fish tank building has this amazing fisthtank, but it located in a VERY noisy street. My bedroom was overlooking the street, it was difficult in the morning. The garden building is super calm in an alley, all the rooms are overlooking this incredible old garden, no noise. I would recommend the owner to clearly indicate in which building the rooms are during the booking to avoid any potential disappointment upon arrival. rooms in the fishtank part are the cheapest.
Overall I was happy with my stay, it's one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in. But beware of the building you are booking to avoid surprises! I wish I had stayed longer.

GGuest UserI discovered a hidden gem of a new hotel in Jianshui! It's newly opened and there's absolutely no renovation smell. The lobby and public areas are elegantly designed, the rooms are spacious and bright, and all the facilities are brand new, including a smart toilet and high-speed Wi-Fi. The cleanliness is impeccable; there's no dust in the corners, the bedding is spotless, and the bathroom has a separate shower and toilet area, making it incredibly dry. There's ample free parking, making parking a breeze if you're driving. The rooms are excellently soundproofed, so it's quiet enough to sleep soundly through the night. The front desk staff are very friendly and quick with check-in and check-out. They even proactively shared Jianshui travel tips and upgraded me to a twin room with a projector. Excellent value for money! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Jianshui, and I've already recommended it to my friends!
