"This hotel is nestled in a quiet alley within the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the old town and enjoying local cuisine. They even have their own parking lot, so self-drivers won't have any issues. It's a charming guesthouse converted from a private residence, and it's kept very clean. The common areas are beautifully designed and atmospheric. The rooms have all the necessary amenities, but be aware that since it's a wooden structure, you can clearly hear people walking or children running upstairs from the lower floors. If you're a light sleeper, it's best to choose a room on the second floor. Breakfast includes soy milk, Caoya rice noodles, sweet potato, corn, and an egg, served as individual portions. Everything is freshly cooked and delicious, especially the Caoya rice noodles, which are just as good as what you'd find at other hotels. Overall, it's a very good value-for-money hotel that you can confidently book! Welcome treats: Flower cake, grapes, mango, ginseng fruit."

The service was very good, and the afternoon tea was very exquisite. The drinks made by the young man were delicious, and the snacks were also of good quality. I especially recommend the grilled tofu at night, which is different from the food at the stalls outside. You must try it."

However, the next day was very disappointing because we were asked what we wanted for breakfast and what time it would be, which was included in the price, but no one was at the hotel until 11:15 am, and we waited for breakfast for nothing. When the receptionist arrived, she wasn't even apologetic and said that her colleague had misunderstood. Furthermore, we wanted to use the shuttle service, but she told us we had to request it the day before. Very disappointed with the hotel's service"

"1. There are a lot of luggage. If you call the front desk but no response, you must wait for the porter to go back. 2. Dry the clothes before going out. Write a note to ask the front desk to help pick up the clothes. They promised very well. But when I returned to the room at night, they didn’t pick them up. They were still in the dryer. 3. I felt a very loud shaking sound when I went back at night. I called the front desk and learned that the KTV downstairs was on the highest floor and could not be adjusted. I fell asleep after 2 am and decisively checked out early. 4. In order to refresh myself, I brought my own cup for breakfast and made coffee from the restaurant, but was told that it could not be taken away. I didn’t sleep much all night and had to drive. When I made a cup of coffee, a lady in casual clothes pulled the employees next to me and complained loudly. This breakfast was very suffocating, but I endured it and didn’t have a dispute. Later I learned that the lady was the owner of the hotel. In this situation, it takes a lot of effort to run this store well. If Wyndham continues to do this, it will be a mess. 5. I forgot to bring the room card. I made the card directly after mentioning the room number. It should be that I have not been trained. It is easy to cause a big problem. 6. Give the housekeeping department a five-point rating for their good hygiene."

"We felt very welcomed right from the moment we stepped in. Front Counter staff were friendly n helpful. Kudos to 小李 & 苹 (the boss) who were very warm n hospitable. Although lunch was optional, the boss actually called us while we were out to ask if we would like to come back for lunch, without hvg us pay for it. She said she treated us like friends coming over for a meal. We really appreciated that gesture. Everything was great, from rooms, cleanliness to amenities, free flow of tea in the lobby. Only not so good thing is the cobbled road leading to the rooms which made it difficult to roll our luggage. Breakfast is mostly the usual 米线 and local stuff. Its good if u don't mind their local style breakfast food. Overall I am satisfied with this place."

The owner is so welcoming and friendly, and her recommended beef rice noodles were absolutely delicious! 😋 We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Jianshui! 🥰"
Jianshui Wangshu Homestay
"Before my trip to Jianshui, I looked at many hotels online and finally chose Liaowangshu. It certainly didn't disappoint! The environment was great, the service was attentive and welcoming, the rooms were large and very clean, the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, a smart toilet, and the shower had strong water pressure – perfect for washing away a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast offered a wide variety of Chinese and Western options, including grass sprout rice noodles, rice vermicelli, fruit, yogurt, coffee, milk… all delicious. There was also a dedicated drying area and laundry room, which was incredibly convenient for someone like me who appreciates cleanliness. The landlady was very friendly and always ready to answer any questions. The lobby had a constant supply of fresh fruit every day. I originally planned to stay one day, but ended up staying for two more. I stayed in two different room types, both were great. The location was also excellent, a 3-minute walk from Lin'an Railway Station and a 10-minute walk from Chaohui Gate (East Gate). There were electric scooter rentals nearby for 40 yuan a day, perfect for exploring the ancient city or visiting attractions. The hotel also offered a free shuttle service to the train station (limited to one trip), which could be booked in advance."

The owner is very nice, speaks English well, and gave us as much tea as we could drink! He also has a very friendly cat. He was eager to help us with suggestions for our trip and since we are traveling by bicycle, he let us park them in a secluded hallway."
