"Wangyungui is a guesthouse converted from a traditional Chinese courtyard. This two-story Siheyuan exudes ancient charm, and its scale is comparable to a restaurant named "Sizhitang" within the old city. A plaque inscribed with "Xingyuan" hangs in the first courtyard, suggesting it might have originally been a traditional Chinese medical clinic. It happened to be raining on the day we checked in, and the sight of raindrops cascading down the eaves, like a curtain of pearls, into the central courtyard created a truly unique and captivating ambiance. The guesthouse is located within Jianshui Ancient City, close to the South Gate, and popular attractions like the Zhu Family Garden are just a few minutes' walk away. It's easily accessible, and parking is also quite convenient. Despite being a traditional Chinese-style building, the bathrooms in the rooms feature a modern dry-wet separation design. The guesthouse also provided tea and snacks, making our stay very comfortable. The only minor drawback was the room's soundproofing, which wasn't excellent, but the guesthouse thoughtfully provided earplugs. The chicken noodle soup served for breakfast was absolutely delicious, even better than what you'd find in most restaurants! We'd definitely recommend staying here again."

"The hotel has a great location, right in Jianshui Ancient Town, with free parking right outside. The guesthouse is decorated in a very stylish way. The rooms are on the third floor, with a huge living room and a view of the lake near the Confucian Temple – a beautiful view indeed. The rooms are quite large, with a wooden interior design. It's not far from Lotus Island and Xianghui Bridge bus station."

"1. Newly opened, the rooms are quite large, the facilities are good, the breakfast is also acceptable, the hardware is fine, and the price-performance ratio is good. 2. Excellent location, within walking distance of Zhu Family Garden, Confucius Temple, Examination Hall, Chaoyang Tower, etc., offering a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. 3. They upgraded me to a family room because I had children, and the service was quite good. The hotel rooms are well soundproofed, but the night I stayed, the noise came from the houses behind the hotel. Some inconsiderate children and adults were making noise outside late at night. I mentioned this to the front desk at checkout, and when we drove away, the hotel staff chased after us and brought us a purple clay cup as an apology. I must say, the staff's service attitude is excellent. 4. Parking space in front is limited, but you can park in the underground parking lot, which the hotel will reimburse. It's only a ten-meter walk away. So, if you're driving, there's no need to worry."

"The Hotel is in the Old Town, only 150m to the Chongwen Pagoda. The room is perfectly clean and they also cleaned it every day. We had a really comfortable bed and slept well. Our highlight were the hosts. They were really helpfull, invited ous for the local homemade tofu dinner and organized our following transport. We felt really welcome in the hotel!"

The service was very good, and the afternoon tea was very exquisite. The drinks made by the young man were delicious, and the snacks were also of good quality. I especially recommend the grilled tofu at night, which is different from the food at the stalls outside. You must try it."

"This is the most beautiful courtyard I've encountered in Jianshui. It's a replica of a Qing Dynasty-style residence with three courtyards, and according to the staff, it took 7 years to build. It houses the largest Jianchuan wood carving collection in China, embodying Jianshui's millennium-old charm – both ancient and luxuriously refined. The entire complex, with its main and smaller courtyards, is impeccably organized. The koi, some weighing dozens of catties, swim joyfully in a large pond that's completely free of fallen leaves – clearly a testament to meticulous care. 👍👍👍 The mini-bar, snacks, and fruits in the room were all thoughtfully and generously provided. Breakfast is served in the courtyard, exquisite, high-quality, and absolutely delicious. I look forward to my next stay to sample the courtyard's cuisine! 😘😘😘"

"The hotel is located at the top of a park, which gives it a quiet location, but it's only accessible by taxi, which is rather inconvenient. The room was nice, and the bed was comfortable. The staff gave us a very warm welcome, and we received a lovely Thai welcome gift with a small 20% discount for staying at the hotel. However, the next day was very disappointing because we were asked what we wanted for breakfast and what time it would be, which was included in the price, but no one was at the hotel until 11:15 am, and we waited for breakfast for nothing. When the receptionist arrived, she wasn't even apologetic and said that her colleague had misunderstood. Furthermore, we wanted to use the shuttle service, but she told us we had to request it the day before. Very disappointed with the hotel's service"

"I have to praise this guesthouse; it's even better than the Atour Hotel I stayed at in Kunming. The rice noodles for breakfast were better than Atour's. The rooms were spacious, and the facilities and bedding were all brand-name, comparable to a high-end hotel. The guesthouse was tastefully decorated, with good natural light, a fish pond, flowers, pavilions, and a garden. You could also enjoy tea there. The landlady was very warm and hospitable. In short, I didn't want to leave and will definitely come back next time."

The guesthouse's location is superb, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful and charming, perfect for taking great photos. The rooms are impeccably clean and tidy, the mattresses and bedding are comfortable, and the showerhead has a strong water flow – I absolutely loved it! The delicious breakfast in the mornings is also a personal favorite. The landlady is elegant, beautiful, warm, and generous, with a refined manner that makes you feel truly welcome and comfortable. Overall, this guesthouse in Jianshui was the most satisfying part of my Yunnan trip, and I highly recommend it to everyone. Staying here truly makes you feel right at home!"

"The hot water in room 201 was constantly fluctuating between hot and cold, which was really unpleasant. I mentioned it to the front desk, but they just said they'd look into it. The garbage truck in the morning was incredibly loud. Parking was also inconvenient. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but I don't want others to be scammed like I was. I regret staying here. I even took some photos, hoping for a 50 yuan cashback, but I can't in good conscience leave a fake positive review."
