"If you're driving, the underground parking lot has plenty of spaces. The rooms are quite large and relatively quiet. The reception and rooms are both on the 4th floor, so you don't have to run up and down stairs, which is a nice touch. It's a bit of a distance from the old town; it's probably a ten-minute walk. The old town is quite large, so walking around would be a bit much. It's very close to the mini-train station."

"Wangyungui is a guesthouse converted from a traditional Chinese courtyard. This two-story Siheyuan exudes ancient charm, and its scale is comparable to a restaurant named "Sizhitang" within the old city. A plaque inscribed with "Xingyuan" hangs in the first courtyard, suggesting it might have originally been a traditional Chinese medical clinic. It happened to be raining on the day we checked in, and the sight of raindrops cascading down the eaves, like a curtain of pearls, into the central courtyard created a truly unique and captivating ambiance. The guesthouse is located within Jianshui Ancient City, close to the South Gate, and popular attractions like the Zhu Family Garden are just a few minutes' walk away. It's easily accessible, and parking is also quite convenient. Despite being a traditional Chinese-style building, the bathrooms in the rooms feature a modern dry-wet separation design. The guesthouse also provided tea and snacks, making our stay very comfortable. The only minor drawback was the room's soundproofing, which wasn't excellent, but the guesthouse thoughtfully provided earplugs. The chicken noodle soup served for breakfast was absolutely delicious, even better than what you'd find in most restaurants! We'd definitely recommend staying here again."

We spent a leisurely afternoon enjoying high tea there, and my family didn't even want to leave. The breakfast was delicious; while there weren't many options, the quality was excellent. The service was superb, making the lack of an elevator a non-issue. There's also convenient parking right in front of the hotel. The only downside, and it's a big one, is the soundproofing. My family and I were in two adjacent rooms, headboard to headboard, and we could clearly hear conversations at night. If there were no one next door, this hotel would be absolutely perfect."

However, the next day was very disappointing because we were asked what we wanted for breakfast and what time it would be, which was included in the price, but no one was at the hotel until 11:15 am, and we waited for breakfast for nothing. When the receptionist arrived, she wasn't even apologetic and said that her colleague had misunderstood. "Traveling from Kunming to Jianshui, I took a taxi from Jianshui Station to my hotel and unfortunately, I was ripped off by a driver surnamed Zhang (license plate Yun GDO6628). What should have been a fare of around ten yuan ended up being over thirty yuan, and it was directly charged by the platform, giving me no room to argue. The platform was Xiangdao Chuxing, and my complaints went nowhere. A quick online search confirmed that Xiangdao Chuxing is apparently the worst ride-hailing platform. Getting scammed right upon arrival in Jianshui put me in a terrible mood. However, as soon as I arrived at my hotel, the Jinxi Heyuan Hotel, my spirits gradually lifted. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and patient during the check-in process. Stepping into the room was a pleasant surprise – it was spacious, bright, clean, and cozy. The courtyard was filled with lush greenery and beautiful flowers, a truly stunning sight. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, offering a wide array of local specialties to enjoy. After a few days, when my trip concluded and it was time to leave, I genuinely felt a sense of reluctance to depart. I will definitely recommend such a wonderful hotel to my friends! Staying at Jinxi Heyuan Hotel when visiting Jianshui is undoubtedly the smartest choice!"

"I couldn't book the same room type for two consecutive nights, so I had to book different room types for each night. The difference between the 'pool view' room and the 'Xiang Tang' room is that one has an openable window and the other doesn't. I stayed in the pool view room on the first night and it wasn't noisy at all. However, my experience in the 'Xiang Tang' room on the second night wasn't as good. The restaurant is right downstairs, and even at 10 or almost 11 PM, there were still children making noise on the platform. Closing the window helped a bit. The cleanliness wasn't great either; there were a lot of hairs on the bathroom floor. I hope they pay more attention to this. Everything else was pretty good. At least I didn't experience any power outages or room maintenance issues. They also provide toiletries for children."
