We booked this hotel in Jianshui Ancient City through Ctrip. Upon arrival, the lovely owner, seeing that we were older, kindly arranged a large room on the first floor for us. She also recommended several good local restaurants, and bottled water was unlimited. When we accidentally lost our room key while sightseeing, the owner didn't make a fuss or ask for compensation. The owner was very generous and kind; I would recommend her to anyone visiting the ancient city.

Conveniently located along the pedestrian street between east and west gate, 2 minutes walk from Zhu Family garden, many eateries nearby. Has a cosy, family atmosphere. Room is clean and comfortable. The lady boss and her assistant were very helpful with carrying my luggage , and helped to arrange my transport. Had a good stay here.

The B&B is right opposite Chaoyang Tower. During holidays, traffic is controlled and self-driving cars cannot enter during peak hours. You have to wait until the crowds have left in the evening before you can enter. The section of road from Lin'an Station to the B&B is all on uneven stone roads. It is quite physically demanding to carry the suitcases by yourself. The one we stayed in was the Goldfish Room, which is relatively cheap and has a wooden structure with a tile roof. The boss said that it faces the street and may not have good sound insulation. In fact, we were too tired to listen to the sounds outside and fell asleep directly. The boss has two residences. The Goldfish House does not have a courtyard. You can enter directly into the lobby to settle in. The other one has a courtyard and the scenery is very good.
