Chaoyang Gate and Zhu Family Garden are just outside, which allowed me to explore during off-peak times. It's extremely convenient for sightseeing. 2. **Ambiance:** The hotel offers a serene, secluded ambiance, with a rustic charm that provides a wonderful contrast to the lively atmosphere of the ancient city. The courtyard is incredibly peaceful, and every corner is picture-perfect! It was a fantastic experience staying in a traditional quadrangle courtyard, especially with the kids. 3. **Food & Value:** The hotel boasts an impressive selection of all Jianshui's local specialty snacks, all complimentary and self-serve! You can simply focus on exploring the ancient city, as the hotel provides everything you could possibly want to eat. They offer all-day afternoon tea, a delicious and varied BBQ dinner, and a special breakfast. The value for money here is simply unbeatable! 4. **Service:** The hotel manager and staff were exceptionally warm and thoughtful. They promptly attended to our requests for ancient well water, fresh fruits, and meals. As a parting gift, they even gave us a bag of snacks and a discount voucher for our next stay. The 688 RMB group-buying price included a very generous breakfast, featuring local specialty grass-root rice noodles, Western-style toast with fried eggs, at least five kinds of fruit, black rice porridge, milk… I think this price is definitely worthwhile during the winter break! In the ancient city, the location is very good, next to the Confucian Temple. You can see part of the Confucian Temple from the room. It is a 2-minute walk to the main street of the ancient city. It is quiet in the bustling city and very peaceful to sleep at night. The room facilities and decoration are good. It can be seen that the owner of the B&B is very attentive. When I went there, he arranged a pick-up at the station. When I was about to arrive, the hostess of the B&B was already waiting on the roadside. She was warm and thoughtful, and it felt like home. Several public spaces are very comfortable, especially the fish pond is beautiful.
