4-Star Hotels in Jianshui

This hotel stay far exceeded my expectations. It's newly renovated with spacious rooms; our double room had two queen-sized beds. It also featured Toto bathroom fixtures and a Dyson hairdryer. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but the quality was excellent. The rice noodles, in particular, had a delicate flavor perfect for those who prefer lighter tastes. The service was exceptionally thoughtful. They called ahead to ask about our needs and pre-registered our license plate number. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and responsive to everything. The only minor drawback might be the location. It's at the end of a street, and the surrounding residential areas have turned the road into a parking lot. It's a bit of a walk, about 20+ minutes, to the ancient city.

This hotel, which just opened last year, features an all-wood interior design, giving it a classic, antique feel similar to an old mansion. It's three stories high with a limited number of rooms. Personally, I found the indoor lighting a bit dim; perhaps that's just because I prefer bright rooms. The hotel is located at the end of a municipal road, surrounded by local residential houses, so the visual surroundings are just okay. However, it does have an underground parking lot, which is very convenient. The rooms are clean, hygienic, and comfortable, with luxurious and well-thought-out decor. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's definitely sufficient, offering local specialties like extra-large bowls of rice noodles, along with milk, coffee, fruit, and yogurt. The restaurant service was quite good.

There will be a lot of tourists entering the ancient city during holidays, and cars and buses will go in that direction. If you stay in the ancient city, there are so many people, and you will be in trouble if you have to sit in a traffic jam after you have finished playing. Therefore, supply and marketing hotels are very good outside the ancient city. location! If you want to take bus No. 19, the bus station is also in front of the hotel! Quack convenient!

It's clear the owner is a person of great sentiment and poetic spirit. The courtyard is well-connected, with the Calligraphers Association next door, a library, and a lecture hall. You can enjoy a quiet read in the library. Our ground-floor room even had a private entrance garden where guests could enjoy tea under the moonlight. When booking, looking at other people's photos of the dimly lit nights, I initially thought it might be a gloomy old landlord's house, but experiencing it firsthand far exceeded my expectations! It's a Chinese courtyard with a wonderful cultural atmosphere. The frangipani trees in the courtyard are abundant and fragrant, the pomegranate and jujube trees are laden with fruit, and sometimes little cats appear to keep you company while reading. The guesthouse is located within the ancient city, offering tranquility amidst the bustle. Stepping out, you're right on the old street, with bun shops, restaurants, and local specialty stores readily available – it's very convenient and full of local charm. My husband bought a long-coveted delicate copper kettle from a shop right outside, and that very evening, we enjoyed tea under the moonlight – it was truly delightful. A short walk to the right leads to Chaoyang Tower, and a short walk to the left takes you to Lin'an Railway Station for the small train. Zhu Family Garden is also not far. Overall, this guesthouse was the most satisfying of the four places I stayed during my Yunnan trip, and my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in while traveling. It's clean, well-equipped, offers attentive and thoughtful service, provides a comfortable living environment, and is imbued with a rich cultural ambiance. I wish this culturally rich guesthouse continued success. Highly recommended.

From the moment you step into the lobby, you're greeted with a refreshing, clean, and well-organized space, showing the hotel's dedication to hygiene. While the in-room amenities might not be the most luxurious, they are certainly not outdated; everything is well-maintained and in perfect order. What impressed me most was the dry-wet separation in the bathroom – it's incredibly practical. Showering and washing up can happen simultaneously without interference, keeping the space dry. It's a really thoughtful touch. Overall, this was a very pleasant stay, and I highly recommend it!

The room is generally OK, the best thing is the mattress, it is very comfortable to sleep on. The location is good. It is very convenient to eat barbecue next door. It is only a 5-minute walk. There are also several large snack shops around. It is said that this is because there are many students from Jianshui private schools. The breakfast was ok, but there were too many people in the morning, and the hall for breakfast was cold without air conditioning. The wash area in the room is quite narrow, and the toilet is really small, which makes me feel like I am just shutting myself in. The room is not soundproofed, and any noise outside can be heard inside. The service staff was not as good as the previous comments said. I arrived at the hotel after 1:00 pm and they didn't arrange check-in yet. Objectively speaking, it can only be a quasi-four-star hotel, and its infrastructure and service management need to be improved.

When I checked out this morning, I asked the hotel to print out the bank statement. They told me the stamp wasn't at the hotel and they would mail it to me after they got it. But after I got to the high-speed rail station, they told me I had to order it myself. I argued with them, saying I could have it mailed, and after they placed the order, I discovered it was cash on delivery. You guys are really good at passing the buck!

The hotel also sent a buffet lunch coupon, but unfortunately our trip had to leave early in the morning, and we couldn't experience it. I hope that we will make up for this meal next time we come to Jianshui. I tried the nearby barbecue last night, it was very delicious!
