The Inn is warm and inviting in every way. We loved the old world feel of the common rooms and the beauty of the area. Our room was beyond comfortable. What really makes the Inn extraordinary is the people who run it. Jason and Chris treat every guest like family and that carries over into how the guests treat one another. It was a full house the weekend we stayed but by the end, we all knew one another. If Chris is leading his nature walk, don't miss it. The sights are beautiful and everyone -- kids thru seniors -- have a great time! There are many comfortable spots both inside and out for enjoying a good book or a quiet moment. Pool is immaculate. Area great for exploring! Can't wait to go back!!!!

Recently stayed at the Washington Irving Inn, which is located in Tannersville, New York, and really close to Kaaterskill Falls. The Inn has recently changed ownership, and the new hosts have some wonderful plans for a new restaurant and expanded bar, taking advantage of the nearby Hunter Mountain Brewery to offer craft beers. The Inn itself is a stunning 19th century home that was converted into an inn. The original woodwork on the first floor is something to behold. The downstairs library, with all of its original woodwork, is amazing place to enjoy an afternoon or late night cocktail. Our attic suite was cozy and extremely comfortable. Summer months offer a pool and a beautiful front porch to gaze at the gorgeous landscape. The new owners were extremely hospitable and helpful during our stay, recommending restaurants and sights to see. In addition to the future restaurant, the Inn will be undergoing some renovations during the winter months. Can’t wait to go back and view the updates along with the historic interior sometime next year!

I met the new management this weekend (June 4th, 2021) when I was out of luck and needed a place to stay overnight. I had no reservations, but they made it a point to make me feel welcomed and comfortable anyway. They welcomed me into their dining area while they cleaned a room for me, I was offered water and a snack and was engaged in wonderful conversations about their experience in hospitality. As a solo female traveler, it was a very comfortable place to be. The inn and room were beautiful, but what really sold me was the service I was shown throughout my stay. I forgot my iphone charger and one of the men offered me his for the evening. If you're in the Catskill/Tannersville area you will be missing out on an amazing experience if you stay anywhere else. Thank you for a wonderful stay, I can't wait to visit you all again in a year or so!

Enjoyed the ambiance of the inn and the personal service by the new owners. The history of the inn and the lovely grounds were what charmed our stay. Breakfast was homemade as well as delicious. Will return next year.
