Hotels Near Trader Joe's in Huntington Beach

We stayed here for one night on a road trip. Location- great! It's literally across the street from the beach. On the other side is a shopping center with a few solid restaurant options. Rooms- The room seemed renovated, as it didn't have carpet. The bed was really comfy. It had a fridge. We were on the street side and the traffic noise was pretty intense. Bathroom- fine. it had just a shower, no tub. Internet- bad enough that I couldn't take a Zoom call from my laptop. Parking- We felt fine in the parking garage. Not suitable for larger cars.

Stayed at Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach, CA for 1 night. 9/25/22 to 9/26/22. We received a complimentary room upgrade to a 1 King Suite Oceanfront View Room for being IHG Diamond Members. I love the soaking bathtub, possibly one of the largest tubs I've experienced. Room also has extra large shower area with his and her shower heads each side. Just wow! Resort Fee $40 including taxes on all stays (including reward stays) Many of us don't like to pay for resort fees for hotels with lackluster benefits they offer, but this is one of the few hotels I have ever stayed where the resort fee was actually worth it. Here's the list: free coffee in the morning from 6am to 9am, use of chairs, towels, and even boogie boards for the beach, free beer and wine from 5pm to 6pm, and all the S'Mores you can eat all evening until 10pm. Ping pong table and foosball table in the lobby. Great gym facility including rock climbing wall. For the past 2 years, I have stayed at this property three times and its one of my favorite hotels in the Kimpton Portfolio. Service 5 Stars++ Location 5 Stars++ Sleep Quality 5 Stars++ We will definitely be coming back year after year for many years to come!

Although this is named a RESORT, the service and amenities are lacking, therefore I consider this a hotel. The location is across the highway from the sand, so be careful when crossing. The hotel offers beach chairs, bike rentals and umbrella's for a charge. HB allows firepit's on the beach and the hotel will provide a space, chairs and wood for $200. The rooms are on the small side and a partial ocean view will have a very small balcony with two chairs and a table. We had to put the table in our room to move the chair positions. It's tight. We faced south and had a good morning view of the sand and waves in the distance. There is a bed and small couch in the room. The bathroom is minimal, so don't expect Q-Tips, shower cap or thread kit. Housekeeping is ”by request only” and you must notify the front desk early in the morning if you want service. You will not sleep well if you expect to leave your window open. Pacific Coast Highway is very busy with racing cars, loud motorcycles and poolside partying. No wave crashing melodies. There are two pools, one for families and children, the other for adults. It appears that the hotel doesn't care if children use the adult pool, as it was packed with children. Over the weekend the adult pool had a DJ which was nice. The pool service was terrible. Both days drinks took up to an hour and food took longer than that to be delivered. There were three servers, so the problem was the bar and kitchen. You have three choices to eat a meal on site. The main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. They only offered a buffet on Saturday and Sunday for breakfast, no ala carte. We tried to order coffee to take it upstairs and they said we would have to go to the marketplace gift store. 10 people in line, slow help and an hour later we walked away with two cups of coffee and a croissant. This place has a few gift store items, however the snacks available were minimal at best. They do offer a decent (not great) pizza. Although it is advertised as thin crust, ours was thick. The main Boardwalk restaurant has an eclectic array of food and for many, it may be difficult to find something satisfying to eat. We ate lunch and dinner here on one occasion. The third restaurant opens for dinner only. The menu items didn't appeal to us and it's likely others agreed. All three nights there were very few patrons. There was a guitarist playing music on Friday and Saturday evening. If Huntington Beach was your destination and you happened to stay at the Hilton, the location is ideal. You are a 20 minute drive to Newport Beach, to enjoy fine dining in the evening, or visit the number of restaurants next door at the outdoor shopping mall or Main Street which is 1/2 a mile away. It's an easy walk. The crowd on Main St tends to get pretty rowdy at nights, and I wouldn't suggest leaving your teenagers there alone or with friends. The hotel is very good, spacious and comfortable, and free Western-style simple buffet, which is richer than most dishes of the same grade I have been to. There seems to be no convenient public transportation nearby, suitable for self-driving. Free WIFI and parking lot.

Excellent customer service! Check in was super easy and when I asked where the nearest drug store was because I forgot my toothbrush the really nice lady (shame on me for forgetting her name) went to the back and brought me a new toothbrush and toothpaste without me asking for her help. Sometimes the littlest things can make the biggest difference! And the valet fellas were really nice and helpful. The room was clean and fresh. I actually ended up staying here because of a bad experience I had at one the convention hotels down the street. I left that hotel and found the Hyatt Regency Orange online and I checked in around 9pm. Boy was that a blessing in disguise! I saved around $500!! And the Hyatt was just as nice as the other hotel if not NICER! Thanks Hyatt!

OK, very clean

We stayed a night for president’s day weekend. We checked in around 8 PM and were greeted by excellent service from their front desk specialist, Alexander. Alexander was quick to get us checked in and truly helped us feel welcome. I can say it was one of the best check in experiences I have had. He was able to provide all pertinent info we needed and promptly direct us to our room. We found our room very clean and ready for a relaxing evening after a day on our feet. Thanks Alexander and the team at Crowne Plaza Costa Mesa Orange County!

I thought it was by the sea, but I was wrong. The address is near the airport. The hotel has all the facilities, and parking is charged separately. It is 10 minutes from UCI and 30 minutes from the beach. Considering the price-performance ratio, it is worth recommending.

The room is spacious and bright, tidy and hygienic, with a wide view. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and towels. There is no toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers. The hotel has a paid parking lot, and breakfast is available for an additional fee.
