Cranford Hotel

They say it’s a stylish hotel, they lie it’s a complete and utter disgrace shower doesn’t stay up so you can shower, no hot water to have a wash or shower no place to put your clothing staff are not very helpful, I asked for assistance about the hot water and they offered me a hoover never judge a book by its cover it’s a dump inside, parking spaces available which is the only good thing

Booked last minute, forgot to ask for ground floor room as I have mobility issues and they said all lower floor were taken. Our room was first floor which was three flights of stairs. The room smelt like smokers had been in there, it looked like it had been painted recently, but not professionally finished. Bathroom was tiny and had an awful back smell to it from the vent system. There was no plug hole to the sink and no soaps/toiletries. There was nowhere to hang clothes or towel in bathroom and no bath mat. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly, was scum and water/soap marks round the outside edges of the shower. The small glass shelf was dusty and there were no glass provided in the bathroom. The painting and finishing off wasn’t done. There was a big hole on the floor behind the sink. I accidentally spilt water and it all went down the hole before I got chance to clean it. I’m the room itself the beds did look freshly made but no vacuuming had been done. It looked like the room had been made up quickly!! The beds were clean on inspection which was something and the mattress was comforting. There was a big round table between the beds (which I’m guessing would usually be under the window). There was a small desk with kettle on and packets of tea, coffee and milk. Tv above on the wall. Hairdryer in drawer which you had to crawl under the desk to plug in to socket as it was fixed in. There was no chairs or stool in the room to sit on to do makeup or put clothes/bags on. No hooks to hang coats. An old empty wardrobe was in the room but had no hangers inside. The curtains were old and needed a good wash as did the net curtains throughout the building. As for the carpets, well they were a mess. Stained and dirty in the room, would hate to think what had been spilled into the carpets. The carpets on the stairs and landings had paint marks on nearly all of them. I would not walk with bare feet. The dining room was nicely presented and a decent enough breakfast was available. However no Halal, which considering the area and the owners I found strange. However there were cereals and juice, coffee and English breakfast. A lovely lady was on hand in the kitchen to make tea and toast. The reception staff were very friendly at all times. Parking was a big plus for us. This hotel has a lot to work on. Even the small additions could make a whole lot of difference!!!! Please try harder then you would be a nicer place to stay!!!

Absolute sh#t hole....checked in at 6pm and checked out at 6.15pm...the place was a dump I'd rather try sleep in a lion cage dressed as a pork chop....beds wer filthy,showers wer disgusting ,curtains wer hanging of the wall ,rooms wer tiny and there was a rotten smell in the place...I have stayed in a few sh#tholes over the years but this place was by far the worst I have ever seen..

Highly dissatisfied and so disappointed about their services and the hotel condition ! Indian poor conditions! Awful experience !Not recommended!terrible !broken handle on the windows!very cold!please do not go at this hotel!!!

To be honest it is exactly as advertised. Rooms are clean, staff are super friendly and the breakfast is good. Good value for money, will definitely stay again if I am in the area and it prices up well vs other hotels.

This hotel is absolutely shocking, stayed here for work. Got bed bug bites all over me, no hot water in shower, no toilet paper, water all over floor, lights don’t work and stinks. AVOID AVOID AVOID! It’s actually ridiculous how this hotel is still operating.

Stayed here for one night only (thank goodness). Was abruptly awoken around 2.30am due to returning guests in neighbouring room who then proceeded to spend the rest of the night shouting and screaming whilst partying in the room and in the hallway outside my room. Multiple guests coming and going to this room. After this continued for a few hours I eventually took the decision to get dressed and go to night receptionist to complain. I was given the email address for the hotel Head Office to complain to & low and behold five days after registering my dissatisfaction with them, I’m still awaiting any reply. Clearly customer feedback is of no consequence to them. The room was small (not a problem particularly) and smelt heavily of smoke (big problem to me). Not sure what colour the carpet started out in life as, but by the time I’d arrived it could best be described as ‘many shades of vomit’! There was a desk in the room but nobody had given thought to the idea that a chair could be useful - no chair in the room at all. Bathroom was badly in need of refurbishing and whilst there was a bath towel provided, there was neither a hand towel or a bath mat in the room. The positives: well the staff were friendly enough and the cooked breakfast was surprisingly good. Problem is though, I booked this hotel for the primary purpose of having a place to rest my head and get some sleep. In summary, if you’re looking for a dank hotel to stay up partying all night with your mates, whilst upsetting other hotel residents, then I can highly recommend. Failing that, this hotel is best avoided. I won’t be returning!
