In 2017 I stayed at Dar Adrar for the first time, and my recent visit was the fifth time I have returned booked via Aztac Treks. Dar Adrar does exactly what it says on the can. It is an excellent mountain guest house where your host Hamid will demonstrate the best of true Moroccan hospitality. Dar Adrar does not pretend to be a five star hotel or a pretentious spa. But it is the perfect base for trekking in the Atlas Mountains or for simply sitting on the terrace taking in the stunning views. The freshly-prepared food using local produce is excellent and totally reliable, and an example of the attention to detail is the state-of-the-art ultra violet water purifying system. It is a pity so many visitors use Dar Adrar as a half-way-house on their dash up Mount Toubkal and back to Marrakesh. Much better to stay at Dar Adrar for a few days enjoying the excellent local walking and savouring what is truly a role model for the Moroccan tourist industry.

Le Dar est légèrement en dehors du centre ville - 5-7 minutes à pied - et offre ainsi une vue dégagée sur toute la vallée, depuis la terrasse sur le toit. Petit déjeuner et très bon repas servis sur cette terrasse, à des prix raisonnables. Chambres spacieuses et confortables. Très bonne literie. Accueil et prise en charge pendant le séjour idéale !

I had a wonderful stay at Dar Adrar, with beautiful scenes toward the valley of Imlil and the surrounding mountains. The room was very quiet, with the distant sound of the Imlil river and birds singing in the morning. The service was splendid, Hamid was extremely helpful, flexible and always so energetic and smiling! An additional plus the water filtering system, less need for buying water bottles for the hikes and bikings. Looking forward for the next stay...!

Fantastic place! In the middle of Atlas mountains, facing the giant Toubkal.
Hamid is a very friendly host, always ready to help. Rooms are spatious , with heater and warm water, breakfast is full of good things to start the day… and they can provide tasty dinners to top it all.
Will defenitely recommend for anyone wanting to wander around Atlas mountains or climb the Toubkal. Otherwise you can spend hours looking at the mountains on their sunny roof top!

We stayed for a night after our 2 day trek organised with Aztats tours (2 adults and 2 teens) and were given a very warm welcome. Dar Adrar has the most amazing terrace surrounded by massive snow capped mountains. Our rooms also had balconies. Dinner was excellent (and the staff even lit a fire to make the dining room more snug). We would happily have stayed longer.

It was a great stay at the Dar Adrar the service and staff were amazing especially the manager Hamid was helpful and he did a great job I highly recommend this place to stay.

The road is about a 5-10 minute walk from the main street in Imlil, up past a few shops and then a steep climb up steps to the riad. Hamad and Fatima were warm and welcoming to the group and made to feel relaxed straight away. I shared to lower side room with views out towards Imlil, en suite and windows to one side and a small balcony on the other. En suite is a wet room shower. Food was very nice, plentiful and well presented. The tagine was amazing and local honey at breakfast. Nothing was too much and the rooms were clean and bed was perfect. Definitely the place to stay before venturing up to Mount Toukbal.

We zijn hier twee nachten verbleven en dit is ons zeer goed bevallen. We werden hartelijk welkom geheten met thee door de altijd vrolijke Hamid. Hij heeft voor ons een gids geregeld, waarmee we een mooie hike door het Atlasgebergte hebben gelopen. De Dar zorgde hierbij voor een goed lunchpakket (kleine meerprijs). 's Avonds kun je aanschuiven voor een heerlijke diner (kleine meerprijs), dit is zeer aan te bevelen! We hebben twee avonden heerlijk gegeten op het dakterras met een fantastisch uitzicht. Ook het ontbijt is prima. Kortom echt een aanrader om te verblijven wanneer je in Imlil bent of voor of na je trip naar de Toubkal. Wanneer je met een auto komt kun je parkeren in het dorpje en het laatste stukje naar boven lopen of parkeren in de bergen aan de weg en het laatste stukje naar beneden lopen. In Imlil kom je vanzelf de bordjes tegen naar Dar Adrar.

Bonjour, Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la gentillesse de l'équipe, surtout Hamid qui était aux petits soins. Il était toujours là tout en nous donnant notre liberté. Nous avons aussi apprécié l'état des chambres, la vue dans la terrasse, l'eau chaude. Rien à reprocher. Si nous organisons un voyage vers ouirgane ça sera chez vous Inchaallah.
