We got in at about 3 AM after a late flight. We walked through a visibly dirty hallway past the "Candlewood Cupboard" where you're supposed to be able to find drinks, snacks, etc. There was NOTHING in it. not even water. There isn't even a vending machine in the hotel, unless they managed to hide it. The gym is completely dilapidated. I can't imagine somebody staying here for any extended period of time and depending on the gym they claim to offer. We get to the room and are met with an absolutely foul odor. The garbage disposal had dried, rotten food in it. I filled the sink with water to see if I could help to clear it, with no luck. The garbage disposal just sprayed stinky water up in the air and all over the counter. We would have turned right around and gone to the front desk, but we knew the hotel was fully booked, it was 3 in the morning, and we were exhausted from traveling. The entire room was sticky. There was trash on the floor of the bathroom. We immediately checked for bed bugs, but were relieved that we didn't see any so we crawled into bed. The comforter was VISIBLY dirty, so we only used the sheets. In the morning, my boyfriend hopped in the shower. I was woken up by the loud, unrelenting banging of the poorly attached shower head. You couldn't even relax in the shower. He got out and asked me, "Am I crazy, or are there no bath towels?" There were no bath towels. After drying off with a hand towel, he went down to the front desk to get some so I could dry off after my shower with a full-size towel. He walked up to the front desk and said to the woman, "Hey! our room doesn't have any towels." She stared blankly at him like he had three heads. Receiving no response, he went on, "..Can I get some towels, please?" She sighed, clearly annoyed that he had the audacity to ask for bath towels.. at a hotel. The towels he came back to the room with were so old, they wouldn't meet the standard for most people's rag bag. They had visible stains and absolutely no softness left. I felt dirtier after using them. We have always considered ourselves pretty easy to please when it comes to hotels. We want it clean, safe, and with a somewhat friendly staff. We got none of those things. I have never felt so gross as I felt after staying there. We were afraid to leave any valuables in the room, because even though nobody ever came to the room while we were gone during the day for housekeeping of any kind, we both felt like if there were a hotel where our possessions weren't safe, that was it. The staff was rude and seemed bothered that we dared to.. stay at the hotel where they work. Avoid this place at all costs. I've stayed at a Motel 6 that felt like luxury in comparison to this place. This establishment is a stain on the brand, and I hope they demolish it soon.
