The hotel rooms are big and spacious. bathroom has an amazing shower and bathtub. the game drive was also an amazing experience to be up close and personal with the animals. no touching animals but Our guide Lonely, got us as close as he could. The braai area is off limits from 6pm but the manager allowed us to braai from later on as we only got back from the game drive at 6pm

Best stay with very friendly staff. The cottage was exceptionally clean and exactly like in pictures but better in person when you get to experience all the facilities. I would definitely recommend checking this place out and I will be going back very soon. The activities are appropriate for the venue and the ones we participated on were exceptionally enjoyed and guided by the nicest guys. Thank you

Greg Allen and Tanja was unhelpful and spoke in a condescending way when asked for help and a refund due to false advertising a room and provided the room we selected to a wedding guest even though the wedding guest booked last minute. They had no measure in place to handle the complaint and had a terrible attitude when dealing with my wife and myself. Extremely unprofessional.

Leadwood cottages at Tala are fantastic. The cottages are huge with an incredible open plan design leading directly into nature. They are also extremely private. Everything was clean and well presented. The wildlife sightings were amazing, with minimal effort.

Thoroughly enjoyed our immersive two day visit to Tala which clearly has an abundance of game. It was only on arrival that we discovered the properties have no facilities for self catering. However the staff were always helpful and responsive to our food and hospitality requests. And we got to experience their marvellous fillet steak! The main tracks around the reserve are mostly fine for normal road cars but the side tracks can be challenging for even a full-size SUV, as we discovered. Puddles can be deep! So great care needs to be taken if you are navigating with the mud map provided. The great thing about Tala is that it is a world away, but conveniently close, to the city. The lack of fridge or air con is a pity and load shedding doesn’t help. But the sights and sounds of the bush are ample compensation. Early morning produced exciting visits from monkeys and buck. Even a fully grown giraffe called by making our last morning especially memorable.

We had a brilliant stay in fishermans cottage. If is located right in the reserve were you can watch the wildlife all around you. The cottage was comfortable, well maintained and had everything we needed to cook, braai and stay warm on the cooler winter nights. Travelling at the end of June, we were lucky to see the aloes in full bloom.

This reserve bowled me over with spectacular accommodation and scenery. I was in the leadwood cottages and the leadwood manor house had breathtaking views. Abundance of animals and food was totally amazing.
