"The hotel's location is excellent; it's within walking distance of the train station and most city attractions, and there are some really great small restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. You can tell the hotel is new, with thoughtful bilingual signs everywhere. The self check-in and check-out process is also very reasonable. The front desk is integrated with the bar and is open 24 hours. The staff there spoke the best English I encountered during my entire trip to Italy."

"This hotel completely exceeded our expectations. It was truly wonderful! First, the service was exceptional. Every staff member was warm and polite. We arrived at 9:00 AM, and the front desk thoughtfully prepared coffee and refreshments for us. They also stored our luggage for free while we went out to explore the area. When we arrived, our luggage was already in our room. The front desk escorted us to our room and provided a detailed overview of the amenities, including complimentary mineral water and slippers. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It's only about an 8-minute walk from the main train station, and there are plenty of delicious restaurants downstairs. It's worthy of the 9.5 rating on ***********, and I even got a better deal on Ctrip. I was very, very satisfied.

"I am very pleased with my stay at this hotel. I must say that there is nothing superfluous here and nothing to create any kind of coziness or beauty. But there is everything you need, and everything works. Therefore, the room is quite comfortable, not counting the very small shower cabin, which you need to get used to. It is a maximum of 60/60 cm. I am quite slim and tall, it will be even more difficult for someone larger to fit into it. The breakfasts suited me 100%, and most importantly - they brought me tea at my request every morning! For me, this was important, because I do not drink coffee. The staff is very nice, smiling, I felt comfortable. Towels were changed every day (which seems even unnecessary to me). The mattress is a little dented, but initially very high quality. I would definitely come back here, because this is a fairly budget option in a great place with good service. And it sells out quickly."

"First off, the hotel's location is excellent, right next to a major subway station, making it very convenient for late-arriving guests. The front desk is open 24 hours. There are a few good restaurants right outside. However, the room I was assigned was further inside, so there was no window view. The price was quite reasonable, and overall, I'd say it was a good experience."

"Excellent Location with lots of shops around. Roma Termini is just around the corner. Buses in front of the Hotel. All the attractions are 20/30 min walking distance. Vatican was bearby too.
Breakfast had good choices with fresh fruits and Fresh Real Honey. Staff was helpful. All over it was a good choice with reasonable price. Will recommend to friends and family."

"Great location right next to San Pietro station, close to nice cafes and restaurants as well as a carrefour.
About a 10-15 minute walk to St Peter’s square. Which made early morning visits quite easy, this was a bonus in the jubilee as visitors were lining up at 6:30 to get in.
Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Rooftop bar was lovely and had a great view to San Pietro.
I could see the dome of St Peter’s from the window of my bedroom as well."

"The only real plus here is the location. It's so incredibly convenient that it almost makes up for all the downsides. I'd honestly call it more of a hostel across from the train station; you basically need to bring all your own toiletries, and the shower stall is incredibly, incredibly tiny. The showerhead in my room was also leaking a bit, so I had to tie a towel around it to keep water from spraying everywhere. There was no duvet, and the air conditioning, even when on, didn't cool at all – it was basically just circulating air, which is better than nothing, I guess. The front desk service was decent, and luggage storage was convenient. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and the area feels very safe."

"Hotel is close to the train station and is good for one night stand. Room was good but the bathroom is so tiny, I don’t know how someone who is more than 60kg can fit in it. There is absolutely no space to get between the toilet and sink. Besides the seat on the toilet was broke. Also it was tricky in the morning to make a check out because my room was the next door down the street to the reception and when I came in the morning the reception door was closed. Administrator came down to take the keys but I was already nervous thinking that I will be late to the airport."

MMichael_KOur stay at the Viminale View Hotel was an acceptable one - but we would unlikely return on a future visit to Rome.
Arriving at the hotel in the early afternoon, we were pleased to be allowed to check in ahead of the published time (14:00hrs). The service was friendly and efficient and we were quickly shown to our room - that being a ‘deluxe’ room at the end of a corridor. Room number 1 was to be our home for four nights.
The room was of a good size and well-equipped e.g. towels, tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge (with optional mini-bar), a television and a bathroom - with an excellent free standing bath tub in the centre of the bedroom.
Perhaps my biggest gripe with the hotel was the disappointing view from the room. A ‘Viminale View’ it most certainly was not. Interestingly, room number 1 was the only room on the wrong side of the building. All others, including cheaper standard rooms, had the all-important Viminale view. In fact, not from anywhere in the hotel could we see the Viminale, since the reception area too was without any windows.
Our two windows looked out onto a gutter on one side and an adjacent building on the other.
We paid a little extra for breakfast, which was of a simple but acceptable standard. Given the size of the hotel with just 10 rooms, an extravagant buffet was not expected. More a continental selection, there was enough to keep us going until lunchtime. Cold meats, cheese, bread, pastries, yoghurts, toast etc, with scrambled egg and sausage available as hot options. Hot drinks were made on request.
As a smaller establishment, this accommodation appeared only ever to be staffed by one person at a time, which somewhat impacted service. Once seated for breakfast, we were provided with a hot drink and then left to it. There was no opportunity to request further drinks, which was a little disappointing. And on one occasion, we watched as a guest had to go in search of a member of staff in order to get a cup of coffee.
Perhaps in the mornings, especially with breakfast to provide and guests occasionally checking out, a second staff member would be beneficial.
House-keeping was of a good standard but returning on our last night, we were keen to enjoy a coffee, only to find that our supplies had not been replenished and our cups were still dirty on the side. As a hotel unstaffed after 17:00hrs, it wasn’t a simple case of calling for some coffee, rather just going without.
Whilst an enjoyable stay, the view from the room and the lack of hotel staff beyond 17:00hrs just didn’t work for us.

DdisasterEXEHotel Caravel is a few blocks away from Stazione Garbatella. The staff speak Spanish, English, and Italian (probably other languages as well). I had the pleasure to stay at Caravel for seven days with my father and they were very accommodating to his needs (such as keeping his laptop safe and providing him with an electric kettle for a night time cup of tea). They also have electric plug adaptors, and they offer third party laundry services. The hotel has accessible ramps, and the venue has a clothes store, bar, breakfast bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet is very varied with some food items made in-house.
I hope I get to stay with them next time I visit Rome. My favorite breakfast (which I had almost every day) is seen in this picture.

PPhillipsBenjaminWe stayed here for four nights in June of 2025. The location of the hotel is generally good for getting to some of the more noteworthy site (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc.). There's a metro station around 8 minutes walk away, which opens up most of the rest of the city pretty well. We walked from here to the Vatican, which took around 35 minutes, but would be less than half that by cab. The surrounding area is great for clothing shops, but the food we found nearby was mostly so-so, and frequently over-priced tourist fare, though I'm sure if you walk a little farther from the hotel you can find some good options.
The room itself was booked for a family of four, and was comfortable. The bathroom and shower had good water pressure, and the AC worked just fine. Some of the sheets were not quite clean, but we just didn't use the one we found slightly dirty. The beds were comfortable and a good size. The room and hotel have little to no facilities, so you're really just paying for room and the location. The exterior entrance is not well marked, and we actually walked past it on the street several times. If you're thinking of booking here, I'd recommend just looking for the GAP store which is directly across the street, much easier to find.
Our interactions with the hotel staff were limited. We received a number of automated messages, some of which were contradictory, or had out of date information. After booking and paying for the room (a non-refundable booking) we were told there was an extra ”city tax” not included which would need to be paid before checking in which amounted to around an extra $90 or so, and the offered price of an airport transfer service went up as soon as we requested it (from 85 euros to 95). The hotel arranged the transfer service for us, but the driver left the airport before we could get out of the passport control due to another booking. The driver service showed up at the hotel at the time the flight was supposed to arrive, even though the flight was late, and you'd expect them to know that going through passport control takes easily an hour, so this seems to be quite poor planning on behalf of either the hotel or the service. We ended up taking a taxi from the airport which was also slightly over half the price of the transfer service, so I'd recommend skipping their service, it seems like a rip-off. Taxis from the airport to the city center seem to be subsidized by the government, and were a fixed price of 55 euros (for a normal size car big enough for 4 people) at the time we visited. The train from the airport is also not a bad idea if you're comfortable using the metro, as the train station is just 3-4 metro stops from the nearest metro station to the hotel (Spagna).
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but felt like we mostly paid for the location.

GGuest UserThe hotel has a convenient location, two steps from the Trevi Fountain. Overall, you can stay here for a couple of nights, but next time I'll look for something more comfortable. Cleanliness is mixed: on the one hand, the room was cleaned every day, bed linen and towels were changed, and the bathroom was well-cleaned. On the other hand, the carpet in the room is definitely unnecessary, why do they use it in hotels with high traffic? The carpet was poorly cleaned (or not cleaned at all) by the time we arrived, so we walked around the room exclusively in slippers. The bathroom was very stuffy, like a sauna, and we could not figure out how to deal with the air conditioning, it seemed that the bathroom was heated centrally. However, the air conditioning in the room itself did not work, but we did not contact them, since the nights were warm and we did not freeze. Yes, an important point! There is no soundproofing in the hotel at all, I woke up at night and early in the morning from footsteps in the hallway and someone's conversations.

Our room is good enough, two single beds put together and there was also an extra bed which we did not expect but all good. The bed and pillows are soft enough and the AC is cool enough for a hot summer in Rome.
The amenities inside are basic but enough for our needs. Great for a quick 2 or 3 days in Rome and it is not expensive at all.
