"I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day. "Everything was good about this hotel. They serve fresh homemade bread every day — and it's free! The amenities were great, including a stove so we could cook. The only thing I think could be improved is the host’s friendliness. I only got to speak with him during check-in. Every day when we bumped into him, he seemed to avoid speaking with me. It would have been a perfect score if the host had been more friendly and made us feel welcome at the guesthouse."

"The most stunning thing about this hotel is the incredible view of Mount Fuji right from your window. Pulling back the curtains for the first time was truly breathtaking! I highly recommend waking up early and also checking it out in the afternoon, as it's pitch black at night and you can't see the mountain at all.
The service was excellent. The staff were proactive in helping us book restaurants, which was a huge convenience. The room size was quite spacious for a Japanese hotel, and the bedding and bathroom were spotlessly clean – very comfortable to stay in.
The onsen (hot spring) was generally decent; both the water quality and environment were clean. The outdoor bath (rotenburo) can get a bit windy, making your head feel a little cold. The hotel has a buffet restaurant, but the food options seemed pretty basic, so we didn't try it this time. Overall, it offers good value for money, and the Mount Fuji view alone makes it well worth the stay."

"The homestay is near Mount Fuji Station, two or three minutes away. You can communicate in English. The boss is very enthusiastic. After knowing that I am going to climb Mount Fuji, he immediately recommended a lot of guides to me. In addition, he will give me a small gift. "Honestly cleanliness wise, -1 for it being just a little dusty floor (but you have slippers) and you may see the wood furnitures has some scratches due to age but otherwise you can expect a clean space 😁 location is about 10 min walk to bus station, Lawson and theme park. Has shuttle bus service to Fujikyu Highland Bus station & vice versa, so you don't need to go through other transportation hassle with your luggage.
Service is impeccable with all friendly smiles and attention whenever they see you at their main service centre in the property. Every villa has rooftop full Mt Fuji view but if you want window Fuji view from inside your villa that will see your luck as you may be blocked by other villas. Nevertheless would recommend staying here for any family or group of friends. Decent facility to stay in and not go anywhere in Kawaguchiko too.

I don’t think I need to repeat all the good things again, I just hope I can return to this fantastic hotel in the near future and to experience the peaceful sight of Tokyo. Imagine when you wake up, you could see Mt Fuji from your bed, and go up to the fourth floor rooftop to take amazing photos with Mt Fuji. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They even offered to drive me to Onsen since I couldn’t get a tax.Lastly, due to the change of the travel plan this hotel allows last minute cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival, thanks for the flexibility given.

DdolenieMy stay here was truly memorable. The room was traditionally Japanese and very comfortable.
The host was always kind, helpful, and quick to respond whenever I needed anything.
Bicycles were freely available for guests, which made it easy and enjoyable to explore the area, I was able to cycle around the lake in just a few hours, and the views were absolutely stunning.
If you’re feeling motivated, I highly recommend waking up before sunrise and biking about 20 minutes to the Chureito Pagoda. Watching the sun rise behind Mount Fuji from there is a breathtaking and unforgettable experience.
This stay will remain one of the most touching and special memories of my time in Japan.

SSkull88The hotel was a pleasant surprise with an unexpectedly rich array of activities.
Hidden in the back garden was a large, beautifully manicured Japanese garden. Sipping Japanese matcha while gazing at the small bridges and flowing water was incredibly relaxing.
The taiko drum performance was incredibly energetic! The young performers had amazing stamina, drumming, dancing, and chanting all at once. During the intermission, they even invited children to join in and drum to the rhythm. I later found out it was a performance put on by the hotel staff themselves, which showed so much love and dedication.
There were also bingo games and piano performances, and even one-year-old kids got to wear cute little yukatas! 🫰
From the room, we had a view of Mount Fuji, which was still covered in snow in March. It was cold but stunningly beautiful.
The only minor downsides were that the rooftop open-air onsen with Mount Fuji views was open to women only very early in the morning, and we didn't get a chance to enjoy it due to our schedule. Also, the food might not have been the freshest; after all, fresh seafood isn't exactly a mountain specialty. While we didn't experience vomiting or diarrhea after eating, we did feel a bit off for two days.

SShadoWofAlex357We stayed for a couple of nights. The hotel is very old and desperately needs a major renovation: the hallways are shabby and dirty, the carpet is stained all over, and the elevator is tiny—barely fitting two people. But the rooms themselves are perfectly fine:
- Clean and tidy
- Clean, white bedding
- Sterilized mugs and toilet
- Looks neat, even though the room itself is small.
The outdoor hot springs are great, moderately hot, and convenient. There are only a few downsides:
- No washing machines
- A bit far from the train station (about a 15-minute walk)
- The duvet didn't have a cover (it was tucked in with a sheet, which easily comes loose and generally isn't very hygienic)
- The internet isn't the fastest or most stable
- If you get noisy neighbors, it will be unpleasant, as the soundproofing is excellent.
- They don't accept luggage if you send it via local transport companies.
Overall, the hotel is good if you're staying for just a few days. If you plan to stay in the area for a week or more, I'd recommend looking for another place.

GGuest UserMany people criticize this B&B, so I'll say a few fair words. First of all, the landlord is an auntie who speaks a little English but not Chinese. She chatted with me in English when I checked in. Because it's a homestay, there are many rules, such as no smoking, throwing towels in a bamboo basket after taking a shower, trying to be quiet after 11pm, washing dishes after breakfast, etc. I live with my son, and these rules are not a big problem for us, so I feel good overall. And because I checked in before 8pm, the landlord sent breakfast, including bread, fried eggs, grilled sausage, and salad, which tasted really good.

SSimon.WI booked this hotel because the promotion made it seem luxurious, but the surroundings feel odd, almost like all the trees have been removed by purpose, littered with dry leaves and fallen branches. It feels dirty and poorly cared for. I was expecting a neatly landscaped area with grass and trees, but instead, the outside feels like a barren, lifeless space.
That said, the inside of the room looks very good. The accommodation consists of two separate large caravan‑style rooms. They are not very spacious, but they are sufficient for a family of four. One of the rooms has slightly less living space because it includes a larger bathroom, with a full‑size bathtub. This is something you rarely find in Tokyo, where most bathtubs are quite small, so this was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we struggled with the bathtub controls as it was written in Japanese, we couldn't use it after all. Also, the heating system are all labeled in Japanese, and there were no clear instructions in English. As a result, we didn’t figure out how to use the heating until the second night. We stayed for two nights in total.
There is an outdoor spa area, which is interesting and enjoyable. We used it and found it quite good, although it is small. It works best for two people, three is a tight squeeze, and four would be uncomfortable. The sauna is decent and operates daily.
Breakfast is served at set times rather than as a buffet, likely because the hotel only has 14 rooms. Guests must choose a time slot, such as 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30. We chose 8:30.
Breakfast is a set menu rather than self‑service. Each morning includes a starter, a main dish, and some small item to finish, well enough for us. The first day was Japanese‑style, with a rice‑based dish. The second day was Western‑style, with a sandwich as the main course and fried eggs with pork belly. The food tasted good, but we would have appreciated more water. We did not ask for refills, as staff left the area after serving.
Finding the hotel is a bit difficult. The entrance sign is blocked by a car park sign, making it very easy to miss. You need to drive very slowly, or you will pass it without realising it. We spent several minutes searching before realising this was the place. Be prepared to see a car park with two signs, where one directly blocks the hotel’s entrance sign.

GGuest UserHotel has a very good location, very close to Fuji-Q bus station. It rather easy to find it. An ability to rent a bicycle, gives you a chance to get around Fujiyoshida and Fugikawaguchiko easily. We stayed in acottage style annex with an open air bath (onsen style), so we found it great. Plenty of space, two storey apartments and the bath outside make our experience much more better than we expected.
