Inverell Motel

We had bugs crawling through our beds. One of our lights was broken. The stairs up to our room were falling apart and were dangerous. The person who checked us in was difficult to communicate with and he was dressed unprofessionally.

All good.

Very good value for money, excellent location

Centrally located on a busy commercial street of the town, but still very quiet and private with easy off-street front-of-room parking. Coffee shops / cafes and a bakery next to / opposite the motel entrance, with easy walking to all sorts of shops and the main street. Friendly helpful staff (I had a late check-in). Spacious, clean, comfortable room - older style bathroom but everything was well maintained, clean and fresh.

Didn’t like that there were small bugs in the unit, but apart from that the unit was clean Also that the light switch was above the shaving cabinet and so I had to stand on the shower hop to be able to switch it on/ off. Certainly not OHS compliant.

Let me begin by acknowledging the one shining aspect of the Inverell Motel – its fantastic location. However, beyond this, my experience fell drastically short of expectations. Upon arrival, the disparity between the photos on the website and the reality of the accommodation was immediately apparent. Despite booking joining rooms, we were allocated separate rooms, a frustrating inconvenience. Additionally, we had specifically requested one of the rooms to have flat entry into the shower area, only to find an 8-inch hob around the shower upon arrival. The condition of the rooms was subpar to say the least. There was a visible hole in the wall, stained carpets and chairs, and a concerning amount of mould down the side of the bathroom mirrored vanity. The front of the mirrored vanity was peeling, and the soap holder in the shower was noticeably scratched. To top it off, the beds were uncomfortably saggy, detracting from any hope of a restful night's sleep. As if the disappointing accommodations weren't enough, our morning was rudely interrupted by the noise of a carpet layer starting work at 7 am. This disruption, exacerbated by the use of loud tools for a considerable amount of time, woke everyone in the motel. Such disregard for guests' comfort and peace is simply unacceptable. In summary, while the location of the Inverell Motel may be appealing, the actual stay fell far short of expectations. From the discrepancy between the booked and received rooms to the unacceptable condition of the accommodations and the disruptive morning noise, I cannot in good conscience recommend staying here. My advice: look elsewhere for accommodation in Inverell.

Nice motel for the price

Bathroom could do with an up date light switches were out of reach in the bathroom and lights on the back of main bed were not working .Beds were clean and fresh and all condiments were refreshed every day.
