While the main conference areas were updated and kept clean, the rooms/suites were very dated. My guess is no major renovations had been done since the 90s. Because of the maintenance of the room over many decades, the room came across as dirty and in disrepair. This is a major hindrance to enjoying the stay at Omni.

Front desk staff were very uncaring. TV’s didn’t work for 1/2 the time we were there. Rooms and hallways need desperate updating.

Beautiful, classic hotel located on the Lake Caroline walking path. Valet parking was very convenient, the room was clean, the bed very comfortable and I never heard a sound from outside my door.

The bed was clean and fluffy. It gave an old feel due to the furniture. I didn’t like that there was a lot of interconnecting doors to other rooms and there was loud slamming and loud bangs. It made it harder to sleep or stay asleep. Parking is also hefty…Paying $10 daily for parking along with the high rate is definitely for very short trips

Management is by far the worst I have seen in a hotel. All systems were down the whole weekend, had to get staff to take you to your room. When they finally were able to get a key for the room, no one contacted us, we had to keep take pur time out on our vacation to check with the front desk. Big wedding and they closed down the lake walkway so you couldn't walk the lake behind the hotel or get to your gondola cruise, which is a 3 minute walk from the hotel. We asked if the locked gate would be opened at 1pm and were to it should be, wedding ended at noon. Came down at 1:40 to head to cruise, asked the desk and was told gate is unlocked. Wasn't, had to find security to let us through after goi g back ans forth with the Manger that they paid good money for the wedding, meaning g you as an individual don't matter. Was late for our anniversary cruise, told by Alan the security member to just call him when we get back and he would let us back through. Alan was off, went back a fourth again with hotel before they finally sent someone to let us through. You mean nothing as an individual unless you are a big group spending lots of mony.. Sad because it is a nice place and great location.

I feel like because we booked through ******* they gave us the subpar version of the King room with Mandalay view. I have a sense that they set aside these lower versions of what is supposed to be a higher end tier room. This has happened a few times so far-I think I’m getting a good deal on a better tier room and at check in the desk people put us in what they believe ******* booking should be and not what a regular person booking through the hotel site would get. This particular room had peeling wallpaper, an old beat up tub, and in general looked a bit worn and dated. I don’t truly know if the rooms themselves just needed a refresh but I will say it looked worn for the level of room it was. We were in room 2611.
I gave this property 4 stars overall as there were definitely some areas for improvement. We stayed for New Year’s Eve 2023 and booked a king room with the Mandalay view. The view itself was beautiful. Looking out as the sun set and at sunrise was the best part of this room. The dining area also is not a cozy type of dining area but very open so when guests are arriving and leaving you can see all that motion. The seats also in the restaurant left much to be said, they were very uncomfortable. We usually book at the Marriott nearby for our staycation and decided to take a chance on the Omni but I think we will not return to Omni.
Overall, the view was great but the rooms and amenities need to be refreshed.
