Hotels Near Palazzo dell'Orologio in Ischia

My husband and I are lately returned from the Il Moresco Hotel on the Italian island of Ischia, having enjoyed a wonderful stay. The hotel itself is very beautiful, with comfortable public areas and spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean rooms. All the staff we had any dealings with were extremely friendly and helpful, with the manager giving us a tour of the hotel and grounds when we arrived. The pool is a thermal one, fed from natural springs and is heated to 28 degrees and the 'grotto' is heated to 30 degrees! This makes for a truly luxurious swimming experience. Downstairs in the hotel is the spa, with another heated (30 degrees), thermal pool, sauna, steam room and comfy loungers to help you make the most of your experiences there. Although we did not avail ourselves of any treatments, the staff were very welcoming. The gardens of the hotel are immaculately cared for and are full of trees, palms and all manner of plants that add colour and drama to the pool area. Breakfast by the pool was a special treat as it meant enjoying the gardens in that quiet time before the sun loungers started to be occupied. Although the Il Moresco is not on the beach, it does have a 'beach club' a very short walk away. The decked area is spacious, with toilet/changing facilities, many loungers and a bar/cafe. It juts out over the sea to give an impression of being on board ship! Again the staff here are brilliant, opening and rearranging sun umbrellas as required. Our travelling companions were my sister and brother-in-law and they completely share our views of this wonderful hotel. My sister has coeliac disease, and so requires a gluten free diet - the hotel were more than accommodating and she was very generously catered for by staff who understood the implications and necessity of her needs. Everything was handled discreetly and without drama! Overall, we had an absolutely brilliant time here and would thoroughly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

Very disappointed for the price we paid , Good - Waiters in the restaurant were very efficient, friendly , hard working and professional. Everywhere kept clean Massage relatively good Barbecue evening was the best food all week Bad - Lack of English spoken , lack of information on amenities, local areas , buses etc - the only English notice I saw read Totally Forbidden to fill water bottles up from water station ! Having to wear Swim Caps to use any of the pools , I have never heard of this before of travelling globally for the last 40 yrs ! Although filters in the pool were old and rusty ! Dated bedrooms with extremely small bathrooms and some balcony’s literally looking into bushes . Noise from the evening entertainment goes on up to midnight so we could hardly sleep Breakfast was ok but mainly a very large selection of cakes ( pity some of these couldn’t have been offered as the desserts for Evening Meal Evening Meal , although served to a high standard with trolleys and silver food domes ( abit over the top ) was very disappointing. The Salad bar was the worst I’ve ever seen in a hotel , it was very poor and not much of it either . Main meal was disappointing too and dessert you couldn’t help yourself but choose from 4 and when one ran out your choice got less . Some Reception staff not very helpful or welcoming on our arrival , requested an early morning call at 5am on our day of departure and we never got it ( good job we were up ) Others got Breakfast bags on an early morning check out but not us ! Would I return , definitely not !Or book through Voyage Privé , definitely not .

At Casamicciola Hotel Italy I found a friendly, comfortable and professional staff, very careful to any customer's requests or needs. A very large terrace with table, chairs and a comfortable stick. Good and varied breakfast served up to 10.30 to really relax, with fresh products, quality, handicrafted waxes and housebread included. Excellent cappuccino and express coffee served by the barman and not the “broadcast” as a machine. The bus stop is placed in front of the entrance of the hotel, but for those who love to walk is the ideal place because it is reachable in less than 10 minutes walk from the center and port, walking the long sea with a broad walk, The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable, and it is very beautiful and renovated. The girl: I asked for honey at breakfast, they told me it was over, of course I said it did nothing, and they thought they would go and buy it right now! I didn't enjoy the pool just because the sky was cloudy and the air was a little cold, but it was a beautiful weekend, thanks to the commitment of all staff. Good quality/price ratio. Advised.

The hotel was perfectly placed in a central located position to enjoy all of the island easily. The hotel itself is lovely, providing a relaxing environment amongst many other things. We always travel to Ischia at the end of May, this being our only holiday of the year. We have chosen this hotel as it was recommended and we liked the idea of the thermal garden in the hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised. We arrived at the main port on the island and were greeted by the hotel driver, who was punctual and professional. We arrived a bit earlier but our room was ready, which was great. Once there we had a tour of the facilities and everything was very clearly explained, with no 'hidden' costs. The Thermal Garden plus the inside pools and SPA facilities are stunning and a pleasure to use. The thermal treatments lady, Anna and the beautician (also called Anna!) were extremely professional and caring. The treatments very effective, all clearly explained and booked in advanced by the SPA manager, Elizabeth, also professional and very accommodating of my needs and requests. We ate in the hotel both at lunchtime in the bar within the thermal garden and for dinner. The food is delicious and plentiful, again with no hidden costs. The bar prices are very reasonable and in line with local bars. Staff there is very friendly and professional, making everything even more enjoyable. Breakfast was fantastic with a great buffet with quality items, dinner has been special every time with local dishes and a great choice of starters. Everything was exquisite and the staff were excellent, noticing preferences and great at advising the best dishes to try, again with no hidden costs. There is also piano bar in the evening, with two great musicians who sing and entertain with great songs, in Italian, and other languages. Beautiful! Overall an excellent experience, we will definitively go back!
