Location 2 steps from the Hagia Sophia mosque as well as transport. The service was top notch! I recommend this hotel 100%
However, there was mold in the bathroom of our room. Other than that, the room was great!

Reserve para 6 noches. Debo iniciar diciendo que el hotel está muy bien ubicado, realmente todo el centro histórico de sultanahmet está a una distancia caminable y hay muchos restaurantes cerca para lo que es almuerzos y cenas. El hotel ofrece un desayuno variado y agradable, con camareras muy amables. En mi caso tuvimos inconvenientes al inicio pues al parecer estaban iniciando remodelaciones y nos dieron una habitación transitoria un poco incómoda sin embargo luego nos reubicaron a una habitación más cómoda en el 2do piso. Hay que tener en cuenta que al haber restaurantes en la calle los fines de semana habrá ruido hasta alrededor de las 12 de la noche - 1am.

This boutique hotel is in the old city (Sultanahmet) . I booked this hotel after reading reviews from tripadvisor. There’s heaps of accommodation in Istanbul and its hard to chose. This Tan Hotel-Soecial category separates the rest due to superb location (walking distance) to all attraction ie Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern etc. the view from terrace when having breakfast is out if this world, the service tops it all. Faruk is the most helpful, hands on from beginning to the end. From pick up and drop off to airport, early check in as we arrive 9am, provided all maps, where to eat, where attraction is, the best room, all positive who goes beyond and above what is required. Fa**a from breakfast us the most sweetest, she made sure everything Ok and the turkish coffee is the best. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel safe for solo female. I did not walk streets late at night but found Istanbul very peaceful and safe. I also found Reception always pleasant and very helpful. Liked the breakfast and view. Tram stop nearby and the hotel can loan you an Oyster type card to top up. The lady at breakfast very lovely . Try Dergimencioglu near the hotel for nice Turkish meal where the locals go. Liked watching traditional dance nearby.

The location and the staff is what gives this hotel 4 stars, otherwise it would have been easily a three. The location is central and short walking minutes from all activities in the Fatih area. The staff were amazing, Alp, Farouk, Emre, Zeynap and the cleaning lady, all amazing and helped make our stay pleasant. Would I come back? I don’t think so. The facility needs a serious facelift to attract tourist and not worth the $240 a night!

Tan Hotel was an excellent choice in a great location. Whilst near restaurants and bars we were never distrurbed by the noise at night. Alp on reception, and all the staff, were incredibly helpful and offered good city knowledge. They recpomedned a few tours and restautants which was great. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. The breakfast was fine (of a Turkish/continental nature) but had everything you need. I would thoroughly recommnend for anyone looking for a centrally located clean and safe Hotel.
