Taking a taxi from Istanbul to the hotel can basically be understood as a hotel-type B&B built by locals. When we arrived, the hotel owner told us that there were only basement rooms. We booked a standard room upstairs and did not agree to stay in the basement. The hotel owner arranged us to another hotel, which was very clean. The only drawback was that it was noisy outside the hotel. Seabirds, passing cars, foreign friends chatting, the room is not soundproofed.

As a couple it was a very nice experience. The staff, especially Lilia were super friendly, thoroughly multilingual and each day cleaned our rooms, helped us with laundry and made our beds nicely. The location and transportation is excellent with good bus links into the city. We also had confusion with booking the family room accidentally. Kindly, they accommodated us to a more suitable room and refunded us despite booking the wrong and more expensive room.
