Taksim Maya Hotel

Not a safe place, door is wide open with no reception area or staff looking after the place. English is very poor, but they know how to ask a woman travelling solo if she wants alcohol. Dirty, smells like cigarretes inside. Their 'spa bath' is a broken and dirty 'jacuzzi'. The pictures of the other reviewers are accurate. Don't stay here! I left immediately and they still charged me for the booking and not issued a refund when complained about their male staff trying to take advantage of a woman travelling alone.

It was horrible.It was very dirty.And they have a lot of Bed bugs I need to refund my money.

I and my 2 friends booked 3nights in this hotel. We were on our way to the hotel on Dec. 31, 10:30 pm. The street going to the place were very busy and crowded, like literally very very crowded. It was so hard for the taxi to get in the street so we decided to just walk and ask direction from people. It was a scary experience because we were walking in the middle of drunk and loud crownd (maybe because it was new years eve?). Anyway, we found the hotel with the help of some locals. Upon arriving, we were met by the male receptionist and guided us to 4th floor. The next part of the story was horrible. Upon opening the room, we found out that the bed was dirty, the blankets had stains, the sofa was full of dust, trash at the corners of the room, bathroom stinks, shower room were badly broken and we heared people yelling and broken glasses from the streets. We were frustrated because we came straight from the airport and we all wanted to rest. The male reception tried his best to accommodate us but the place was just terrible. The following day, we left and moved to another place.

Terrible and traumatic hotel (Maya Hotel Taksim) we arrived at 2 am on January 1 (we came from Cappadocia) so a heavy traffic we encountered because of new year eve, upon arrival a man who I paid the hotel through a credit card (maybe he is owner or receptionist) take us to 4th floor where we find out me and my friends how disaster and terrible the hotel is. Attached are pictures of the same room. Bad smell, broken shower area, bed sheets are dirty and you can see how dirty the sofa bed is...
