Angels Garden Hotel-Downtown

Initially I booked a room in the hotel nearby (Tiyatro Hotel) but it turned out to be closed permanently, so I had to find a place to spend the night. I quickly came across Angels' Garden Hotel. Its manager took to the street, saw me and invited me to see the last room he had available. The room, which was located on the basement floor, was good, and I liked it. It was comfortable and cozy. A tasty breakfast was served in a restaurant on the fourth floor of the same building, offering a beautiful view of the morning city. Overall, my night in that hotel was superb, quiet, and tranquil. I recommend this hotel to every traveler who is not looking for a high-end residence.

We'd had a booking at this hotel for 8 months prior to our arrival. Our credit card was hacked and we received a request from the hotel telling us to update our new,card within 24 hours to hold the booking. We tried to update by phone but were told you can't do it by phone and we've already cancelled your booking within 12 hours. Upon arrival at the hotel they charged 40 euros more than the agreed price. This is not the way to treat customers. I will not stay here again in my next trip to Istanbul

If I could give 0 stars I honestly would. I travelled with a group of 8 friends that shared 4 of the hotels rooms. Give this a read before you choose to stay here. Throughout our stay we have encountered numerous problems of which we have photos and videos as evidence that we can provide in any way requested. Multiple cockroaches, bedbugs and bites, urine leaking pipes and faulty toilets that do not flush are just to name a few. Anyone of these issues would be enough to warrant a complaint however the combination of all of these is simply a violation of basic hygiene. We were told that all the rooms are full, to sort out the issues ourselves and that there was no possible way to relocate as such 2 of our guests have had to book another hotel. The staff‘s inability to communicate in English has not helped in resolving any problems, they seem to brush off numerous insects as a common occurrence and at one point gave us the spray to deal with the cockroaches ourselves. The hotel is not within 3 star ranking, not new as it seems to be, just has partly repare works. The pictures in the profile gave a positive impression. The rooms in reality are in a very poor condition, some of them are being restored so it was noisy in daytime. The bathrooms and rooms are small. The street is very noisy, so you will be given a noisy morning every day. The street is full of bag and shoes sellers and shops, as there in no info about it here. The breakfast is very small not enough to be normal. No bottle water in the room/for 3 star hotels it is as a must. The people seemed to be friendly. the Receptionis persuaded me to cancel internet booking as they didn't want to pay a commission fee for the booking website/Agoda, price per night was 184 TL with breakfast, pls see photos. I said ok paid for 11 nights in full, but in the next days they asked me to pay more...they said there was a mistake in calculation of nights! It was terrible and i decided to check out earlier, In some days I found another hotel and asked the rest of money. And as a result they took money for the used nights more than i had in fact, I stayed only 5 nights and they took money for 7 nights! But one night cost about 250 TL!!! They stated that it was not according to the internet booking, but they persuaded me to cancel it. pls if u come here don't do it even if they ask you. they act like scammers. Receptionist was very rude, used alcohol sometimes after his working hours but he didn't left hotel to go home. It seems that owner was him not a real hotel owner. Besides, the location is not good for people with children. The only good thing was cleaning and nothing else! Iwould never write this revew but the receptionis was rude and owner was greedy. He took extra money, but God will judge him!
