Best Hotels near Nossa Senhora da Piedade Church, Itaparica

Outstanding service by the people who’s working here. They’re made sure I’m aware and familiar with everything at the hotel and showed real care about my well-being. Hotel location just across the beach and even some people saying it’s not good beach I’ve have a good time. There is everything you need around the hotel, supermarkets, small shops, pharmacies etc. Uber easy take you to main tourist attraction within 20 min ride and it’s cheap. Breakfast is like in most hotels whoever very good quality and presentation. Really happy with stay. Highly recommended.

We were for two nights at the weekend from 27 to 29/10/2023 at Mercure Salvador Boulevard. We were extremely well served by all team members! From parking, breakfast, reception, room service, cabinets and so on. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and has a very comfortable bed, very efficient internet and very comfortable swab. Super congratulations especially to Mr Ivan, General Manager for the great kindness, attention, professionalism and conduct with mastery of this beautiful business.

For the British amongst you .. think travel lodge / premier inn and that what this is . It’s basic , and old basic . We had the top floor sea-view room . It’s basic . Just a sheet on the bed a small old chair and tiny table . No tea or coffee making ( probably because of Covid ). A weird layout in the room I think to try to accommodate the view Travel lodge style wardrobe and shelving . If you are looking for a lovely romantic break I do not recommend this place . All that said it’s a nice location by the sea with a beach. ( no beds) The pool is small but nice . Again a bit 3 star . The staff are all excellent I can speak Portuguese so I’m not sure about how well they cater if you can’t speak Portuguese. This is not where the historical attractions of Salvador are , for that you need to take a bus or a taxi . There are lots of places to eat or drink in the evening nearby so you isn’t need to go anywhere at night if you don’t want to . The breakfast was ok . Again think travel lodge . All self service . No English tea . Personally I world definitely not stay here again or recommend it , but it depends on what you are expecting. If you are a foreigner visiting Salvador .. I would say stay in the central area in a small pousada.. do 2 nights , see the sights then go to a proper beach resort. They are about 50k away . This place is not one thing or the other .

The lift and the corridor are ugly and old. The frigobar has ferrugem, the furniture is leaving, the toilet paper porter, poorly finished facilities savoner bathroom pia, bathroom pia = dentist cuba of so small, puddled and sleeved beds, incardated bath clothes, single and super narrow single beds and low looks like children, bad beds, full-shaped bed mirror, infiltration into the entrance wall, behind the door; roughly rough; lack of waste in the kitchen. I am very disappointed with what I found, disconsistent and harmed because I paid for a misleading hosting. I heard you have flats in better conditions, but you are busy (!). And the customer pays for that? I am very unhappy, rebelled. I would like to be compensated for what I paid to get out of here and go to better accommodation. Flat 1408. I liked the accommodations, however there is no telephone / intercom in the room, it is necessary to have a whatsapp contact, provided by them, for everything you need, I found it quite uncomfortable. Towels very shabby (rough), they should be replaced. Good breakfast, but with few seats, you have to wait depending on the time you arrive. Good cleanliness, attentive and helpful maids. There is a fridge in the room, but without any products inside. You can bring it from outside or ask them via whatsapp.

This hotel can be considered well located if you are traveling by car or if you have no problem taking a taxi, uber or similar, all of this because, although the neighborhood is good, it does not offer any of the attractions of Salvador by foot. Aware of that, you can come, but pay attention, don't expect too much, the accommodation is good but old, the lobby is large but dark, the breakfast is relatively full of food but always crowded and in order to get one ”tapioca” or an omelette this will require some of your patience in the row. I tried to go to the gym but even during the pandemic it was full of people, maybe because of the location next to the pool or even because of the usual number of guests at the end of the year. Even so, we were well taken care of during the period we stayed at the Bahia hotel and I would return without any major problems.

My family and I stayed at the Wish with interconnecting rooms in August 2022. This worked really well for us. Lobby area is large and airy with lovely decor. Pool area looked really nice but was not warm enough for us to use. The gym was modern with plenty of choice in equipment. Had some lovely evenings at the bar drinking cocktails made by Mauro. We were allocated rooms on level 11 so we had the perfect view over the city. Just wish the windows had been cleaned. Our view was a little cloudy! On one occasion we had music outside the park for us to listen to! Plus we watched some lads playing soccer. Room sizes were good. Beds were supercosy with good selection of pillows. The decor was a little tired and could do with freshening up. There was a musty damp scent in the room on arrival which we resolved by opening the window. This must be due to the climate where its warm and wet in Winter. Breakfast was lovely each morning with lots of choice. Just wish they had some plant based alternatives. E.g soya milk, margarine etc. Outside the Wish hotel is a park which a huge monument and fountain, if you wish to take a morning stroll/jog. There are council exercise machines next to the childrens playground. We were fortunate to see Capoeira training going on. Other than that there is nothing else. A short cab ride away will take you to Bahia shopping mall - Really good food court on ground floor here - Oriental, Italian and Brazilian. Plus a good place to do a money exchange. Cash is king here guys! The tourist spots like praca da sa, Pelourinho, Rio Vermelho etc are 1.5 miles away. Hotel taxis accept card payments. Which is really convenient. Be prepared to hold on to dear life when taking a random taxi from the street. Some drive like lunatics. Our taxi from airport to hotel was like this. Maybe its worth booking a hotel transfer with Wish. Overall if I could afford the Fasano I would stay there for the luxury plus location,but if you require something more easy on the pocket and away from the madness of the tourist areas, I would choose Wish de Bahia.
