The room was perfectly renovated with a perfect view but its temperature with the air conditioning at the maximum was between 27 & 29 degrees The mini bar had no cooling When I complained they told me it was not a refrigerator ironically in the reception and after it found it Technical not corrected until we left The room was as a supply to the coffee shop but we were paid at the end of the coffee in a 5-star hotel with a price-high price at night The elevator had no air conditioning and was a gas chamber up to the 17th floor which we stayed The supermarket of the hotel cost me an extra 10 minutes the cigarette package I bought because it does not give me a card as he told me and showed me a handwritten note General culture of the decade 70-80s which in no way justifies the Category 1

WOW, what can I say, we have just returned from the most amazing 10 days at this beautiful hotel. We were a group of 4 families who travelled together. Right from the start all the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful, from the private transfer driver, to the reception staff , to the entertainment team, to cleaners, to bar staff, and staff within the restaurants. We could not fault their hospitality. On reading previous reviews, we decided as a group to all upgrade our rooms, which we did not regret, the rooms were beautiful with sea views and modern and so clean. We were on the ground floor, so I think next time we would choose first floor as we did have sunbathers right outside our balcony who were smoking, so we couldn't always sit out on this or leave towels to dry, maybe in future this could be a non smoking area, difficult I know. The food was brilliant, I always worry with a buffet but again no need to worry, food amazing. As we were a large group the restaurant manager ensured we could reserve a table for us all to fit around so we could eat together, we had prepared to be split so this was amazing for us and we really appreciated the extra mile he went to ensure we were altogether. We also had a birthday in the group and they decorated the table and provided a cake at 18Euros I think, most amazing cake and staff sang Happy Birthday to, it felt very special. Entertainment team amazing, always happy encouraging you to join in but no pressure if that's not your sort of thing. Each night a different act and on the night the team had off, they played an outdoor movie that we all loved. Entertainment team very good with children. This is a lovely lively hotel, but also chilled and calmed by the beach. People do get up and on Sunbeds around 5,45am around the pool, not sure why there are plenty of beds on beach to, we put towels down around 8.30 after 9am they had all gone. It so handy that the beach is so close to pool to so catered for all our children. We enjoyed time on jet skis which are next to the hotel at 100 Euros for 2 people for half an hour , we also booked a sunset cruise with the jet ski guys as this was 20 Euros each cheaper, the transport to the boat could put you off, very old people carrier, but its fine and drivers lovely, highly recommend the sunset cruise 55 Euros each for a 3 hour trip this was the most amazing experience and had an hour to snorkel. We visited both New and Old Town Rhodes, bus from hotel is well managed you can book your ticket in reception and we had no issues with this, I recommend if you can see Rhodes by day and night its beautiful. I also used the spa, they had a great del on for 3 treatments for 90 Euros, massage and facial was amazing. We would definitely like to return to Avra Beach, I have never felt so safe within a hotel , clean tidy, lovely staff, lovely rooms and good food and drink couldn't wish for anymore, well done all at Avra Beach, you have an amazing hotel.
