I recently had the delight of staying at Izu Marriott, and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning location of the hotel. Nestled in the picturesque town of Izu, the hotel is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The hotel itself is equally impressive. It is well-designed and beautifully decorated, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. What really stood out to me, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff at Izu Marriott. They were incredibly polite and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable stay. Whether I needed recommendations for local attractions or assistance with my room, the staff was always available and eager to help. Especially thank Roshan and the front desk team, who provide exceptional service to us.

　The first time we chose the back of the inn at Shuzenji Onsen, it was the Yukoro Kikuya. It is located almost in the center of the hot spring town of Shuzenji, and if you follow the prefectural road that runs through the northern bank of the Katsura River, there is an entrance to the inn, and there is a parking lot next to it. From the entrance to the main body of the inn, you will pass over the lobby built on the bridge over the Katsura River. Check-in is done on the sofa in this lobby, so you can see the Katsura River from just above the river. As the name ”Yu Corridor” suggests, many hot water areas are connected by long corridors. From those hot springs, I could see the beautiful garden of the inn. The dinner I was looking forward to was called ”Quasi Sakana Kaiseki”, and I was able to choose some dishes as I liked. We were two of us, and we dared to eat different dishes, but each dish looked beautiful and very delicious. Our accommodation plan was a plan to have draft beer free in the private lounge, so we had draft beer in the hot spring and relaxed.

■ Location 　Take a bus (220 yen cash only) from Shuzenji Station and get off at Miyukibashi, 2-3 minutes. The other side across the new bridge along the Katsura River. About 7 minutes on foot from Shuzenji Onsen Station on the route bus. Large high-rise inn. The scenery might be beautiful during autumn leaves. ■Nearby Attractions We recommend going to Niji no Sato on a free electric bicycle. The bicycle was also made by Panasonic and was new, and it was powerful even on the slopes. You can get there in about 20 minutes. At Niji no Sato, you can enjoy steam locomotives and views of Mt. Fuji. Also, if you have a receipt for staying at Shuzenji Onsen, Niji no Sato will give you a 30% discount. ■ Room 　The room was spacious and the bed was set on tatami mats, so it was comfortable to sleep. It was nice to have a humidifier. ■ Meals Buffet style with a competitive number of items. If you are with children, you can enjoy it in an entertainment mood. It might be more fun if you make it a fair specification such as cotton candy. On the contrary, it is a mess, so it is not recommended for those who want to enjoy it slowly or emphasize the atmosphere. ■ Amenities 　In front of the Daily Yamazaki convenience store in the ryokan, you can take whatever you want as much as you like. I think that management efforts to reduce personnel and maintenance costs are rational, only for Obako Hotel. I think the service of choosing a yukata is very good. Wouldn't it be nice to have a special yukata for a fee? If there is a design that looks good on Instagram. ■ Hospitality 　The check-in time was around 17:00, so I contacted them in advance. At that time, there are only two dinners at 18:00 and 18:30, and the 19:45 two-part system is not being done at this time, so I hurried to the hotel without eating lunch. At the front desk of the inn, it was said that after 18:00, there would be a two-part system at 19:30, and there was a discrepancy between the phone and time. Although I complained about it, the woman at the reception was indifferent, with no apology or confirmation, whether the complaint was a daily occurrence. Perhaps the person on the phone misunderstood and told the time, but I asked if there was 19:45, and although I insisted that it was not, I regret that I told the wrong time. . I can't help but make a mistake, but I was disappointed because there was no follow-up at the reception.

This used to be our favorite summer spot. We'd return at least once a year, for perhaps 4-5 years in a row. However, we hadn't been back for quite a long time. This is what I learned on our most recent visit: The hotel room (I think we had a ”Hollywood Standard Twin) was quite spacious. The beds were large and comfortable, and there is a nice-sized balcony with a generous ocean view. I see some other reviews on Tripadvisor calling the rooms ”old and smelly” -- this has never, ever been my experience, not once. The room seemed exactly as it was over 10 years ago, but that's fine. The colors are soft, muted ”beach” colors and we were very comfortable. On our first night we ate at the ”Melesea” restaurant, which serves French cuisine. We chose the ”Demi portion” course, which was about 9,000 yen (about $62USD with today's exchange rate). We chose it because it wasn't as high priced as some of the other course meals and the portion sizes sounded right for us. There is no question that the ”Demi portion” course was one of the best I've ever had in my life. The chef (Mr. Ohki) is obviously a professional who really understands how to bring out the delicate flavors of any dish, and he is a master at preparing sauces. Everything that was served was outstanding. No, we didn't want to pay that much money per person, but ultimately we made the right choice. We both were extremely impressed. The above two things, plus generally good weather, added up to a good experience. Here, though, are things that you should be aware of: This is essentially a family hotel. That means if you are coming here for peace and quiet, and you make the mistake of coming on a weekend or a national holiday, you can expect lots of screaming children running with abandon down the hallways and fussing in the restaurants and everywhere else. Japanese parents tend to indulge and spoil their little ones. And forget about using the pool, since that's where parents will be staked out the first thing in the morning. If you are a parent, you might find this to be the perfect hotel. If you aren't, and you do not enjoy the boundless energy and noise of children, you will be sorry you booked a room here. So, think carefully about the dates you arrive and leave. As for prices: Although you can get a ”Tokyu Hotel” member card, and although you can find online promotions, the way the hotel makes its money is through its dinners. You are going to pay a lot for them, although there is effort put into them, so, you do feel you are having an ”experience.” But they do not come cheaply. Also, if you don't book your room with breakfast, expect to pay ¥2900 for a ”buffet breakfast.” If you are Japanese, you will love this breakfast; if not, you will find an adequate selection of items for a Western breakfast. I stayed in a room on the 9th floor of the silver ridge. I thought it was a good inn to have you get a hand towel by the shuttle car at Inatori Station. I thought, but I was disappointed. Check-in was over at 13:30, but wait in the lobby until 14:00. There is no welcome drink while waiting. At 14:00, when you enter the room, you will be guided all at once. Take your luggage and enter the room. The room has a window open bath. Although it has a panoramic view of the sea, the roof of the entrance building is in the way on the west side. It was nice to be spacious and beautiful because it was renovated. However, the service is not good for an inn of 50,000 per person. There is a charge for drinks in the refrigerator, and there is no tea confectionery in the room. There is no guide in the hall and web search. It's free in the lounge on the 6th floor, but it's troublesome to go, so I want you to prepare it in your room. Even though it was a warm time, the open-air room was too hot and you couldn't enter it unless you added water. I was happy to have pajamas. Supper is a room meal, but the pace of coming out was slow, and Mr. Nakai's customer service felt uncomfortable. It's a pity that the sashimi was also dripped and didn't look good. Breakfast is a buffet, but there were few types and the taste was normal. I went to Izu, but it's a content that has no features. I often stay at this class inn, but I feel the simplification of the service and I don't think it's worth the price.

The person in charge of the trip was very kind and I have fond memories of my trip. It was a birthday celebration, and I was very happy to see how they livened up the occasion and showed their careful attention. Both dinner and breakfast were very voluminous and I was satisfied with both the presentation and the taste, although I think it varies depending on the plan. As for the hot springs, I thought that everyone from children to adults could take a dip in them with peace of mind because the temperature was right and the skin was in good condition after the bath. I was satisfied with everything about the room, hot springs, food, and customer service.

The environment is very good, facing the sea is very comfortable, the cleaning is also very clean, the waiter will hand over towels, tea and snacks as soon as you enter the door, it feels very intimate. Because it is right by the sea, it will be very noisy at night and the waves are loud. In addition, the place is rather biased. The nearby restaurants were closed on the day I visited. After searching for a long time, I found a Korean food (it's hard to eat, not recommended). It might be better to eat in the hotel, or have a good dinner in advance. Ordered an open-air private soup, on the roof, very comfortable, 30 minutes is enough. The lobby will write the sunrise time every day. In short, everything else is OK except that it’s a bit noisy to sleep at night, not inferior to the bad hotels in Xiaohongshu, very cost-effective, very recommended!

I used it for a few days back, but I stayed for the first time. It is convenient to use the day-trip hot spring hall after checking out on the day of the stay. The pool is also available at a discount price and full of elements that can be enjoyed quite. The room chose a large room with a veranda, but it may be good to be far from the main building and narrow. I was at the day trip hot spring hall and tried to use it open-air. It is not cheap, but you can relax with your family. The zashiki is also large. However, there is nothing to bring food and drink (with a refrigerator). The public bath is a great view open-air bath as well as a day trip. It becomes a little narrow version. It is a great view whenever you go.

This hotel is right next to the Mishima train station for both regular JR trains and Shinkansen trains on Tokyo-Osaka line. One can walk in without even cross the road. Access if from the first floor (ground) and the reception is in the second floor. There is a small shopping area in the ground floor. Rooms are of good size with separate seating area. Beds are comfortable and have all facilities expected in a first class hotel. More importantly the toilet and bathroom are in sperate enclosures. If one gets the station side rooms, one could see Mt Fuji in all its glory. Breakfast is good with a choice of Japanese and western dishes; and staff is quite helpful. The only issue is that noise insulation could be little better; it is certainly not comparable to what we found in a hotel situated next to a busy train track.

Last time I chose ”room with hot springs”, but this time I stayed in a Japanese room with 8 tatami mats. (It's the cheapest plan) The view is on the other side of the room with a hot spring, and you shouldn't expect it because you can only see the cityscape. Also, although there is no indoor bath, there is a large communal bath, so there is no problem. The large communal bath changes daily, but both are large baths and have good hot water. There is also a hot spring area so you can relax. Now it seems normal to park in the second parking lot (plane) a little far from the first parking lot (mechanical parking lot). But please note that it is a little far away. Well, there is a supermarket just a few minutes walk away, so it's a good plan for traveling alone, and I think it's good because you can relax. If you want to luxury, there are various plans, so I think it is good to choose and stay.
