We were lucky to meet Zara at the front desk of the hotel. Zara made us feel completely at home. Hospitality at its best! I would recommend a visit to the hotel just to say hi to Zara or to stay a night or two at this charming get away. Sit a spell in the lovely rocking chairs on the enormous porch, or enjoy a coffee by the fire in the lobby! A good time is sure to be had by all.

We brought my dad up to see Eagle Mountain House, a place we visit frequently. We often sit on the porch with a glass of wine or play around of golf across the streeet. The views are spectacular. While visiting with my dad the front desk clerk, Zana, could not have been more friendly. She told us a bit of history and offered to take some photos.

This is a beautifully preserved older Inn. When you walk in, you feel like you've walked back in time. We enjoyed the town and relaxing in their lobby near he fireplace. They have two game rooms. Even though we stayed when the bar and restaurant were closed, we didn't have a problem finding other great local restaurants.

This is VERY unlike me to write a review however, it is very important for you to know that the condition of our room was unacceptable. Broken tiles on the bathroom floor that I almost tripped over, dirty carpet (stains and ground-in dirt/grime), very dusty. After observing the dust, I swept my hand across the top of the headboard - there was so much dust, dirt and grime that I wiped away. This is unacceptable. Also, we did not get the type of room that we requested. We wanted a rustic New England mountain getaway and I was crushed.

I love this hotel's ambiance. We were enchanted by the town of Jackson and the amenities at the resort. I love their tavern and how its charm is modern yet seemingly unchanged over time. Everyone working there was so hospitable and checked in with us multiple times throughout our stay. I hope to come back in the foliage season because I can't imagine how beautiful it is there!
